Zac, Zyra, Kog'Maw Passives

I'm troubled about most of the champions' afterdeath passives. I find them quite useless, predictable and outdated.

Kog'maw: Kog is mostly an AD Carry. He doesn't need a passive that activates after his death. He needs to have a good positioning and stay alive till the end of battle. So Icathian Surprise should activate BEFORE his death, let's say when he hits 20% of his total HP. Then it triggers (like Volibear's passive), he becomes invulnerable, he moves to a new location (just like the old passive) and he reappears there. The pros are that, as an ad carry, has some means of survival, an updated passive which is quite unpredictable and a strategic background. Also, the duration of his passive before reappearance should extend by 1 second for each different enemy champion that he has slain, so his hungry personality from the VOid has some value! For example: -Icathian Surprise: When Kog'maw's total HP drop below 20%, he automatically becomes untargetable for 2 (+1 second for each different champion he has killed) seconds and then reappears in his new position.

Zac: His passive is nerfed, totally uncontrolled by him and outdated. His 4 parts are so vulnerable and weak. Most of the times he doesn't even have the chance to revive, both in duels and teamfights. And even if he does, his HP is so decreased that he can't tank any damage. So, this passive is pretty much useless in my opinion. So here's my idea for a new passive: -Cell division: Each time Zac hits an enemy with an ability, he sheds a chunk of himself that can be reabsorbed to restore Health. Upon taking fatal damage, 1 bloblet stays alive. This bloblet is controlled by the summoner and has Zac's original Movespeed x2. It is immune to spell damage and has 4 HP. Each enemy basic attack decreases 1 of his HP. After 4 seconds he is revived in his new location and his HP depends on the HP he has left: O HP: he dies. 1 HP: He is revived with 25% of his total HP. 2 HP: He is revived with 50% of his total HP. 3 HP: He is revived with 75% of his total HP. 4 HP: He is revived with 100% of his total HP.

With this new passive, Zac can control thw one bloblet after death, can maneuver in teamfight and even escape. He has a chance to revive with full hp. Also, enemies must focus on this one bloblet if they wish to kill him.

Zyra: Last but not least, this champion has a pretty much weak passive. It does not trigger while she is alive and does not really do much. The one shot is quite predictable and she cannot activate it instantly. I can provide a new version of her passive: -Rise of the Thorns: When Zyra's HP drop below 10%, she briefly returns to her plant form. After 2 seconds, she can press any ability to fire a thorn toward her cursor, dealing true damage to each enemy it strikes. After pressing her ability or after 4 seconds, Zyra is revived again with 10% of her total HP.

This new passive is much more competitive and useful in teamfights. It works like Zhonya's Hourglass and its true meaning is to protect Zyra from harm and prolong her survivability. That way, zyra can depend on her passive to stay alive and do some damage even after passive's trigger.

Not really agreeing here and here's why. Keep in mind, this is my opinion and others may think otherwise. Also, like Anraton said, Zyra's part of the Mage Update.

Kog'Maw: Kog is a champion from the void so naturally he's going to be different in many ways. Yes, he's an ADC and yes position is ONE key part of that role. But that alone will never save you as an ADC. It is up to not only you but your team to keep you alive. If your team can't peel and you can't kite/orb walk then you're going to get straight up killed. Kog's passive, though annoying it IS easy to avoid unless in a team fight or if you're playing someone who can't get away easily.

If you change his passive to being a Zhonya's you can move in then he'll just use it to run. 2 seconds may not seem like much but it's more then enough time. Now imagine he got a kill on each enemy, that's 7 seconds in total that he has to run to safety to recall. And, if you're going to do that, might as well change Malzahar's passive since some people find those voidlings to be useless and/or annoying.

Zac: The passive he has now is fine, there's many ways for his blobs to survive especially early on. I've seen many a Zac survive with it, even more so if someone on your team has TP and decides to TP to a blob. Zac lives and then it becomes a 2v1 which, depending on who had TP and the enemy, can possibly be won. A few times I've even seen multiple people take TP all because they have a Zac. Not only that, but it's a little hard early on to 1v1 Zac as well as kill his blobs before he revives.

Keep in mind, most tanks have between 300something-400something ms. Say Zac has 340 ms. Multiply that by 2 and he has 680. That's one speedy blob. Add the fact you basically want it to be a Banner of Command minion makes it harder to destroy.

Changing his passive into a speedy Banner of Command minion who can possibly come back with full health is something a tank should never be able to do. Tanks are tanks for a reason. They are meant to go in and either lock down 1-5 people depending on who they are or go in and cc as many as they can while hoping the enemy focuses them down while their team kills them.

Zyra: Her passive is FAR from weak, especially if you have plants up that are attacking the enemy. Yeah, the wait to use it is annoying and yes it can be dodged but there's way's to prevent that without them flashing. To do that you buy item 3116. If you have 2-4 plants attacking someone while you have Rylai's, they're not getting away. Keep in mind Zyra's passive does a set amount of true damage and the only thing that can stop true damage is a shield such as summoner 21, item 3401, item 3072, Lux's barrier, Thresh's lanturn, Braum's wall, Diana's shield, Janna's shield, Nautalis' shield, Nocturne's spell shield, Riven's shield, Sivir's spell shield, Sona's shield, Sion's shield, Urgot's shield, Vi's passive, Viktor's q shield. Morgana's shield, however, DOES NOT block true damage as it's a CC shield and not a health shield. A health shield being something like barrier that adds extra health for a set amount of time.

Also, Zyra isn't a burst mage so you should be building her in a way for her to survive for awhile anyways. Zyra's role in the team is similar to that of a supports. While she does do tons of damage, she's meant to lock down her enemies to do mass amounts of damage. Buying item 3151 and item 3116 are two great items on her as her plants proc both which gives her a great kiting ability especially if her snare misses.

Can't be worse than Anivia's passive. You turned to an egg and that's it. I sometime can't help but watch my teammate turned to an egg under tower, can't save it but watch it die by the tower. At least Zac the tower aim for one and moved back to minions but they won't with Anivia until she dies.

If you have problems using Zac's passive to survive teamfights, you're not picking the right teamfights.
