Taric! The Star Calling Cloth Wearing Questionable Male Battle Healer!

So I am upset... I find this rework on Taric pretty distasteful. Allow me to explain...

Why does Riot find it fitting to portray healing classes as either women or men that have questionable sexual orientations? Would it be so bad to give Taric a full set of armour, a boss walk, a shield and healing power derived from crystals? Maybe a Shield embedded with crystals? The source of his protective power? A magical shield that he raises when using certain skills, like Leona? No. Take away the shield, change his name to "The Shield" and put him in cloth armour, make him bounce around with his arm floating out there like hes some prancing fairy... It is almost as if Riot believes that if you are male and want to be a healer you must obviously like same sex relationships. Is this Taric rework a sly inside joke? Taking the piss out of people who want a cool looking, armour wearing battle healer? Because I get the feeling this is a pretty big joke. Armour of the fifth age was a choice, you chose to be fruity. Now Taric players are forced to feel like a meat loving vegan... No thanks.

Taric could easily be fascinated with beauty and crystals without coming across as being gay. I find it pretty sad that Riot took the stereotypical route of making a guy who appreciates beauty seem like hes gay. Pretty pathetic.

So when can I expect to see a battle healer equipped in heavy metal armour? One that actually looks like hes ready to shield some allies and crush some skulls?... Probably never right since riot does not like to make champions similar... They like to keep things varied, new and exciting, like calling stars to heal and protect... Cystalised Starlight.. No thought or real effort put into this champion at all. I take that back, his skill set is now good, I can see how much thought you put into his skill set but the actual character itself and its relation to the skills are a compete joke to me and I will find it hard to play this champion, even though I want to play that battle healer... I must be made to feel like a prancing fairy for wanting a healer in armour with a mace and shield... oh wait a mace and he is the shield... aahahahahahahahahahaha!

Okay so putting my personal feelings aside, I am curious to know what the majority of people would prefer. Do you think Taric is just right as he is? Or do you think Taric should of been kept closer to his heavy armour and shield wielding roots?
