A real hybrid champ

Hi everyone !

I have been thinking of all the champs that can be played AP or AD, but still, never get played AP and AD, so I have been thinking of a kit of skills that would require the player to play both at the same time.

I may have a new approach : Combining AP and Crits. Basically, it means adding an AP ratio on AA that can crit !. An other solution is to create spells that require to have both AP and AD to be effective.

So the champ should be think as an AD bruiser with some mage spells. Those spells should not be the main DPS source and just help push/depush and interact with other spells (maybe).

The huge negative point of that approach is that it is completly RNG dependant => You crit, you deal huge damages, you don't, you may die fast without being useful.

Keep in mind that since the champ will be built hybride, he will not have 400 AD or 800 AP so ratios may be high but still not representing huge figures

So i would like to introduce Alex, the ice warrior :

Alex is a melee champ and has to reach targets to be effective. He can go in but can't go out and has no defense mechanics, though, thanks to his spells, he can stay away before choosing the right moment to go in. He has a small CC so he is dependant of his damages (and crit) to be an effetive executionner.

Passif : AP gives critical strikes chances and attack speed : 100 AP gives 5% to crit and 10% of AS

Q : Heroical Slide

Alex gains a movement speed buff of 50 for 1 sec. If he runs straight, you may reactivate the spell allowing Alex to slide (to that direction he was running too) on his knees (like a rockstar^^) and deals damages to all ennemis he goes through.
 Damages : 50/100/150/200/250 + 0.8 AD Bonus + 0.2 AP of physical damages
Slide length : 600 Slide width : 200 Speed during the slide : Starting at 500 while slowing to normal at the end of the slide (yeah the ground slows you)
 Cost : 50/60/70/80/90 Mana
 CD : 20/18/16/14/12

_It is the gap closer for the champ, Average CD And it has an AP ratio on physical damages_

W : Freezing touch

Passive : All the ennemies hurt by Alex are slowed for 1 sec for 10/15/20/25/30 + 0.2 AP (decaying to 0). Slows cannot apply to the same target before 8 sec
Active : The AA deal additional damages equal to 4/8/12/16/20 + 0.3 AP magical damages for 5 seconds. **If the AA crits, those bonus will crit too.**
Cost : 30 Mana
CD : 15/14/13/12/11

_I built the champ around that spell. Don't forget that with no crits, those numbers are quite low actually (like for a full AP build) so building both AP and critical chances is mandatory. The crit bonus can be raised to 2.5 with IE_

E : Snowflake Alex throws a snowflake (after a 1 sec canalisation) that will deal magical damages in a band to every units. That snowflake will let an icy trail behind that will freeze everyone crossing it for 5 sec. Since the band is longer than the Q slide, alex can choose to slide on the icy trail. The slide will be increase to the end of the trail, with the usual speed buff during the slide, but no decay of that slow buff as while on the trail (cause you can skate on ice^^) Snowflake damages : 40/80/120/160/200 + 0.6 AP Magical damages Snowflake dimension : 200 large, speed of 1200, range of 1100 (around lux Q) Damage of the icy trail : 5/10/15/20/25 + 0.1 AP magical damages per seconde for 3 sec The "mage" spell used to push/depush. 1 sec of canalisation, plus an average speed and an average range make it easy to dodge for an opponent. that spell will be used to engage mostly, has it improve the Q length Cost : 40/50/60/70/80 Mana CD : 15/14/13/12/11

R : Icy punition An icy sword appears on top of every opponent champ in range. After a 1 sec canalisation, the swords will fall on every ennemies still in the range (each champ gets damage only from its own sword) Damages : 200/300/400 + 0.6 AP. If a Champion dies, the CD of the Q is reduced to 2 sec Range of the spell : 100 + 5 * ADbonus Cost : 100 mana CD : 150/125/100 That spell is useless if you don't have AP AND AD. The idea is the same as before. The reset is "soft" because 2 secondes are still long and remember that the slide can only be done after a 1 sec straight run, so it is a 3 sec reset. I wanted that spell to be able to crit too by lowering the figures, but it would have been way too random.

The idea of the champ is too apply medium damage to minions with the E (for push/depush) and go in with the Q, start the W while close and attack the close opponents with R. I created the champ around the W and the R. I like how the spells obliged to build AP and AD to be strong. Due to the ratio, Alex is mostly a mid/late champ with a "weak" early where he can be poked and harassed but becomes very hard to duel late.

The building path for me would be around Hextech Gunblade and IE for the 2 first items.

I'll be more than happy to listen to your comments guys (and girls of course) :)
