i miss when taric was a viable support but i never even hear of him now he has just fallen off the map :(

I think an Omniknight Inspiration would work for Taric. After all he feels like a mix between Sven and Omni, with the heal and stun and such.
It is in the works right now. He is going to release right after Poppy, if I remember correctly.
They said that they will likely be launching the rework either very late this year (i.e. mid-late December) if they finish quickly or early next year otherwise.
