People are saying a million different things about him, I heard somewhere he was a Marai (Nami's race), or he was non-human, or he was a human, or he was a frog, we know nothing till he's revealed.

Actually that stuff about him being a marai is purely based on a joke about ecco the dolphin.

But the whole "he is a black kid with white hair"-thing actually has a basis because there was a leak. Someone told us,the next champ would be a black kid with white hair, time travel powers and would be named ekko and we know already that ekko is his name and he seems to have some time-related powers,so it is rather safe to assume that the description of his appearance is also right.

Sounds like all those people screaming for "diversity" will be able to rejoice cause now they get more representation. Hooray!
