W.I.P Champion Concept: Zakar, The Skeleton King

Thank you to anyone who comes to view my first concept design. This is rough and I mean really rough. I will take ideas into consideration as well! I find it difficult to draw stick figures if that gives you a level to my artistic nature so if someone feels like they would like to make this champion a reality, please by all means!

Little bit of information: Zakar is from the Shadow Isle so not much is known about him. He obviously an enemy of Yorick or rather a pest to every ones favorite gravedigger and that's about it for now. Ill be adding more as it goes along. Everything is set to change!

Passive: No name: OLDFor every 5th minion killed, Zakar will raise a skeleton minion to his aid. Skeltons remain passive at Zakars side but only a maximum of three skeltons . [Not sure on how to scaling or numbers should go for a minion so anyone who is good with that bit!] Passive: NEWArise!: For every 5th minion killed, Zakar will raise a skeleton minion to his aid. Skeletons remain by Zakar's side until directed otherwise. Skeletons health is 10% Maximum HP.

Q: Corpse Explosion: Zakar infuses magical energies into his skeletal minions to the point where they explode, dealing 40[+.5AP] aoe damage and slowing any target affected by the blast by OLD.25/.50/.75/1 NEW .75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds. CD [10/9.5/9/8.5/8]

W: Draw the Marrow: Zakar grabs a skeleton, drawing from the very marrow in the bones. Zakar restores 5/10/15%of Maxmimum HP over 3 seconds [18/16/14/12/10].

E: Defend your King: Gathering his forces around him. Zakar redirects all damage to reanimated Skeletons before taking damage himself. Passive: If a minion is killed near Zakar. The magical essence of the skeleton returns to him granting Armor/MR boost[number][CD].

R: All Hail the King: Raising the depths to his aid, Zakar raises the dead for a time[Duration]. Enemies caught by a corpse is rooted for [durations]. Allies that come in contact with the corpses are granted a boost to their[ I was thinking crit but I dont know what stat honestly. Maybe small healing?] Corpse Explosion will also work on selected corpses.

I was kind of thinking a tank top laner if that helps with the numbers but Im open and excited to hear what constructive ideas you guys have for this champion. I have others in mind but this seemed like the most fun to mess around with! Thank you again for coming and I hope I can keep the tweaks going!

I'm liking it, I'd say restore health over time for the w, would u go for a mana champ, or I think something else might work well, or perhaps make his abilities or basic attacks do slightly more damage depending on the number of skeletons he has?

I like this idea. I like the idea of using skeletons(or some kind of pet) for utility. It could make for very interesting game play. I feel like his ult should do more with the skeletons though. Like maybe raise more? or consume them for health? Or maybe have them lock down a single(or multiple enemies?) and have the root duration be based off the number of skeletons? Idk just some ideas I thought of.

His passive is rather fundamentally flawed, mostly due to the fact that it is virtually impossible to establish an undead army. In lane, approximately every wave he summons a skeleton, right? But that skeleton will immediately attack the nearest enemy champion, your lane opponent. So what you have isn't a horde champion, it's just a tool which gives you one extra minion each wave that runs right for the enemy and forces them to choose between losing cs, losing mana or losing health. It's not fair to the enemy laner, since he's basically dealing with Yorick bs all over again. On the flip side, outside of laning phase Zakar can't do diddly squat. All 3 of his basic spells require having nearby skeletons, but he won't have an army available for teamfights because they all ran off during the laning phase and he couldn't farm fast enough to generate an army before the teamfight. Riot ran into this problem when making Azir; how does one balance a king who commands subjects to do his bidding? It's a difficult task which they've failed before (Yorick), and I honestly have no idea how to help at the moment, but this passive fails from a fundamental standpoint. I'll be back if I come up with a way to fix it. Until then, keep working on this idea. :) Reviewer, away!summoner 4

Thank you for the review! Yes I saw something wrong with the way his passive was written and have since changed it a bit but have not had to time to repost! I also changed some of his other abilities but Ill be sure to post the New and keep the Old for a vote review!
