Champion Updates & Refund Requests - League of Legends Community

I guess you know what this is about, but in case you don't, I'll sum up for you: 6-7 champion reworks per year, 3 tokens in total to refund champions or skins.

Fair? Obviously not. This policy is theft, plain and simple. You know it, Rito, and we know it. I purchase something, and then all of a sudden, it doesn't turn into a potato. I have a warrantee period and if in that time any of the characteristics change in what I bought, every store will offer me a refund or will offer to change it for some other product.

Stand up and complain, people, and we will achieve a decent token amount. You know, "stick together".

How about we earn them from winning 10 or 20 games? Better than nothing and besides, there's no way we can turn the RP back into real money so we're gonna have to use it anyways.

Well, maybe every 10 or 20 games could be a little bit too much, given that when you buy a TV, you cannot use it and then just return it for some random reason like "I don't like it anymore". Actually limiting the amount of tokens is probably the best way to have people returning content, instead of trying things and then returning them because they don't like it, or buying a skin only for 1 game even in champ select and then return it after the game. That would be ridiculous.

But if they make 6 reworks per year maybe we can have 6 good reasons to return content, especially if this keeps going over time, like, just imagine, 2 years from now, and still limited to 3 tokens in total after 24 reworks? Seriously? That's ridiculous.

Thanks for your oppinion, though. Maybe if we make it to 200 answers they will react. That's the way they work :)

i agree with the 10-20 games part. to much freedom there. maybe if they did something like giving us 1-3 tokens per year that would make more sense

Yeah well, they give us something from time to time, like a free skin like the ones you get when you reach gold by the end of the season, or the Pool Party event this summer, or free icons... But that's not enough when you paid for something. I mean, I didn't decide to pay for the skin they'll give to gold players, but if I get a skin for my favourite champion and they change it all of a sudden and I don't like the new one... That would really piss me off. I had no problem for now with the reworks, given my favourite champ is TF and he's clearly more amazing now, but I'm pretty sure that Gangplank players with the Sultan skin will be really pissed, and after all they probably paid real money for it, so that's the real problem imo. Buying something, changing it all of a sudden without your consent, and not giving you a way to refund it.

Rito could do one of the following, in my opinion.

Reset the Refund Tokens per year. If I didn't use my Refund Tokens, I would only be reset back to three. So, if I had one that went unused, two would be added to reset the amount to three.
Rito could give players two or three days to play with their newly bought Champion or Skin. Then, if the players don't like it as much, they could simply get their IP/RP back. If the Champion or Skin continues to stay in their Champions Panel, the Refund Option could go away.

Well, in answer to your first point, that might be still too little, given it would be still 6-7 reworks per year and then only a max of 3 tokens again, but well, that's still more than what they're giving us atm, so after all it's fair, or fairer than how it is atm.

And about the second, actually the problem is champions you bought long ago, long enough for them to not even know they were gonna make a rework. For example, we know they're working on 3 champions atm to release this year, but they don't know yet about what they will be reworking at the end of the year, or the next year, so we would be still buying champions or what is worse, skins, without knowledge of them being reworked in a relatively near future.
