How to re-make Teemo to be 100% more evil (but healthier overall)

Goal

  1. Make the swift scout true to his title while making his gameplay more active and less reliant on random shrooming and to also give him a distinct identity as to why you would pick him
  2. Make his poisons and shrooms factor into his gameplay while giving him some teamfight presence as well

Passive – Swiferific: Bonus movement speed reduces ‘To the Trees!’ movement speed penalty by X% (Min: 10% penalty while ‘In the Trees!’)

Q – Paralytic Exploding Dart: Fires a dart covered in scuttle secretions doing X+AP magic damage and consumes all of Teemos poison effects on the targets. If the targets are affected by noxious fumes they are paralyzed for .25 seconds. If the targets are affected by Strangling fumes they are paralyzed for .5 seconds. If they are affected by both, they are paralyzed for 1 second

  1. Paralyzed targets are rooted and take 5-40 + .15AP * (X noxious fumes + X Strangling Fumes stacks (max 6 stacks total)) magic damage over 1 second
  2. Is now a line skillshot that detonates at its targeted location in a small-moderate AOE

W – To the Trees!: Teemo takes (4/3/2/1/.5 seconds) to scramble up any terrain and begins scouting. While scouting he is undetectable, his movement speed is reduced by 50/45/40/35/30% and he gains bonus vision range. If the enemy team had vision of him scrambling up they are alerted with a ping and 5-second Teemo icon at the location. Teemo may jump out of the trees at any time by moving to a regular map position (will always land right next to the terrain he exited from)

  1. While in the trees all HP/MP/CD recovery effects are stopped except for his ability to place shrooms (he can’t generate them in the trees however). He also gains passive gold and XP at a 50% reduced rate
  2. If he takes damage he falls out of the trees
  3. Can be spotted by towers and vision granting abilities that go over terrain (Quinn or Ash for example)
  4. Teemo gets vision of any brush that is touching the terrain he is hiding in

E – Noxious Poison: Applies a stack of noxious fumes to his target (max 5 stacks). Each stack deals 2/4/6/8/10 + AP magic damage per hit.

R – Strangling Mushroom: Teemo places a Mushroom that deals X+AP magic damage. The mushroom provides vision, slows enemies by 20/30/40% decaying over 2 seconds and applies ‘Strangling Fumes’ for 5 seconds. The mushroom is invisible, but if an enemy gets within X units it becomes visible and targetable. Teemo can detonate the mushroom himself if he lands on it from leaving ‘To the Trees!’ causing him to laugh evilly (MUAHAHAHA)

  1. Strangling Mushrooms can be placed from ‘In the Trees!’ as well but take longer to arm. If he places a shroom where the enemy team has vision they receive an shroom-icon for 5 seconds. If Teemo attempts to place one too far away he will leave the trees to place it

What this solves for the little devil

  1. Damage isn’t frontloaded into AA+Q+AA, it’s similar to Twitch or Kalista patterns where your damage is only threatening if you get your stacks onto your target(s)
  2. Laning-phase is now more interesting in that his opponents can decide to go for heavy damage against him and try to get out before he gets off his Q, or they can back off and let the stacks fall off without taking excessive damage. Teemo also needs to choose when to Q for the quick CC or hold on to it for some more damage but also risks missing it as well
  3. Blind is gone, melee champions rejoice
  4. Being low-health after a teamfight isn’t likely to get you killed by a randomly placed shroom (it still might, but chances are lower since you can see them when you’re close enough)
  5. Cleanse/QSS can ruin his damage combo when he tries to setup his stacks
  6. Shrooms now need to be carefully placed in areas you want to utilize since they can be spotted
  7. He now has some reason to be in a teamfight. Lob in a shroom +Q and you get some damage plus light AOE-CC….Lob in a shroom + some auto attacks +Q and you have potentially potent AOE-CC if the enemy team doesn’t attack the shroom

His new identity

  1. ‘To the Trees!’ is an unexplored space in LOL. It’s fitting that a scout should get a scouting tool
  2. Since he’s a manic he just can’t help himself and tries to find ways to ruin his scouting operations by setting up deadly ambushes, ultimately alerting the enemy to his presence (like he cares though…you did hear him laughing right?)
  3. Successful use of his shrooms and his stacks rewards a crafty Teemo. Mindlessly throwing out abilities denies Teemo his full damage potential
  4. A great scout is rewarded with knowledge for his team (undetected ‘To the Trees!’), a bad scout is rewarded with knowledge for their team (the enemy knows you’re in THOSE trees)

His new role

  1. A AS/AP fighter-mage that wants to roam to detect the enemy in vulnerable spots. His stats would most likely need to be adjusted for this, but since his damage now requires more effort than simply get in range that should be doable.
  2. ‘To the Trees!’ is powerful, but comes with a cost. Use it well and you can setup your team for vision/fights, use it poorly and the enemy just ignores that area of terrain and you deny yourself gold/xp
  3. His passive is intentionally targeted to only helping out ‘To the Trees!’ because that’s where his power is coming from

TL:DR – Strip out all the stuff people dislike about Teemo (passive, blind, W, random shrooms, anti-melee) and reinforce the things people like about Teemo (being in places you don’t think he could be, utilizing shrooms and poisons, being manically evil) [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

Interested in his new W, but not in anything else. Teemo isn't evil, the comnunity is what makes him so. On anything else, he's fine already.
