Kaguso The Guardian of the Hunt

Light: pure white with light angelic wings (Graceful)
Shadow: dark grey/ black colors surrounded by a black aura of shadow with tattered demonic wings (feral)

Lore: Ever since that day he couldn’t remember anything except for that he knew that somehow, somewhere, sometime long ago he, he was a guardian of something. That something must have been his home, yes that’s what it was “home.” But then what was he doing here on top of this massive mountain waking from a slumber that seemed endless. Getting up Kaguso spread his wings, wait wings? He had no recollection of wings accompanying his sleek wind ravaged fur. Afraid of this new unexpected awakening and discovery. After years of wandering alone in isolation without seeing a single soul Kaguso had finally started to understand what had happened to him when a fateful even occurred. Hunting for the usual small game that he snacks on throughout the day, Kaguso found something that he can’t recall seeing, but felt so familiar to him. It was a human, but for some reason he feared this human, not for the fact that he was a human but that he was cloaked in an aura of darkness, no not quite that it was shadow. Then before he knew what had happened the man disappeared, wait he had done no such thing, he had appeared behind Kaguso, about to kill him. As the shadow touched the fur of the wolf’s lovely coat the unimaginable happened, Kaguso had turned white as snow banishing the man as well as absorbing the shadow into him and It all came rushing back to him, the dojo, Shen, Akali, Kennen, their master, his human form, and Zed. Now with this white fur disappearing and turning to black, he had been tainted with shadow himself and feeling his true power surging back into his body Kaguso headed to the one place he knew that he would find answers, and hopefully his vengeance, he’s heading for the institute of war. “Hunting for answers is only half the fun, the rest is you.” – Kaguso The Guardian of the Hunt
Abilities: Passive: aspect of the hunter Wind Form: Whenever Kaguso lands an auto attack or an ability on a unit he gains +10 movement speed and +5% attack speed for 4 seconds (stacks up to 5 times) Light Form: Upon landing an ability on an enemy champion half of the energy used to cast the ability is refunded to Kaguso Shadow Form: Upon being hit by another champion’s ability Kaguso gains +20 movement speed and heals scaling based on level (15 at lv 1 to 90 at lv 18) (+5 per lv)
Q: upgradeable 6 times Wind Form: (80/75/70/65/65/60 energy) wings of the hunt: for a brief amount of time Kaguso gains additional movement speed and attack range (ability wares off after first hit), pouncing on and silencing the first target struck. Light Form: (75/70/70/65/60/60 energy) wings of the guardian: Smashing his wings down Kaguso releases a light that aoe damages all enemies within a 600 radius around him and knocking back all units within 300 of Kaguso. Shadow Form: (50/50/50/50/50/50 energy) Mark of the Hunted: Marks an enemy champion with a shadow mark that lasts for 5 seconds within an 400 radius and reduces their heath by 5% of their current hp.
W: upgradeable 5 times Wind Form: (70/70/65/60/55) Howl of the wind: howls and calls forth a wave of winds from a distance away toward you knocking units toward you and dealing damage based on their current heath. Light Form: (80/75/75/75/70) Fang of light: For the next second if any unit strikes Kaguso he counter attacks with a ferocious bite that deals massive damage and briefly stuns that unit. Shadow Form: (70/65/60/55/50 energy) Roar of the shadows: shoots out a skill shot leaving a shadow residue that shadow marks any champion in it with a shadow mark that remains for 5 seconds.
E: upgradeable 5 times Wind Form: (40/40/40/40/40) Graceful wind: launches a whirlwind at a target champion knocking up it and everything else in its path, and you gain additional movement speed for following the path of the whirlwind. (I want to see If I can make the whirlwind go in random curves, like curving to the left or right so following it would be more of a hunt, as well as this mechanism may help you dodge skill shots.) Light Form: (50/50/50/50/50 energy) Boundary of light: emits a box of light that surrounds you for 3 seconds (like thresh) that slows enemies that cross over its threshold and gives out an even greater slow to any melee enemies that strike you within that time frame. Shadow Form: (120/110/100/90/80 energy) Stalking shadows: teleports you to a target shadow marked champion consuming the mark within a 500 radius from you.
R: upgradeable 2 times (20/15 energy) (40/30 cool down) Transfer of Origins: Passive: upgrading this ability unlocks an aspect of your choice (light or shadow) that you can switch to by casting R and selecting that aspect. Active: leaping in any direction 400 (similar to Shyvana’s R jump) and on landing switching to the aspect of your choice (that you decided pre jump) in addition to adding 5 seconds to any cool downs that have carried over from other aspects.(Transfer of Origins’ cool down does not apply to this)
Extra Notes:
• You start the game in the wind aspect and cannot gain another aspect until level 6, and then 11.
• All of your cool downs carry over into each of your aspects and each corresponding ability has the same cool down as each other.
• I came up with this idea when I was playing kha’zix allot and wanted to do something that you decide and sort of evolve, really making it your own personal touch in the game. Also I liked the idea of Jayce or Elise being able to switch between 2 forms but now I want to take it another step further and make it into 3 forms, also notice that all three forms are still melee, just some of their abilities are geared different ways.
• I ended up building each of the aspects around 3 different types of champions Wind= fighter, Light= tank, and Shadow= assassin even though that can seem OP to people, remember that your R increases your carried over cool downs leaving very minimal combos at best. That is why I wanted Kaguso to act like a wolf, hunting and playing with your opponents in little skirmishes then finally going in for the killing blow.
• My thought with this was that I would want you to specialize on one of the 3 types of fighting that you can do with him and then add in a little secondary to be diverse but not to do everything based on the item that you buy/ build during the game
• Also I’m no completely sure about all of the numbers for the cool downs and abilities, this is my first time making one of these so I would like help filling in those from people that are much more experienced making champions than me.
• Oh and also the reasons that I was thinking energy instead of the most common mana was that I wanted to add to the entire idea of the skirmishing, with bursting and then backing away and then bursting again, and also I don’t think that mana fits a wolfs style (mana is for foxes= ahri) so I wanted something that would fit his ferocity plus it fits his back story since everyone else that he has known and trained with uses energy
• And on that note with the difference in energy cap in the aspects, if you have more than the max of the aspect that you switch to you lose the excess energy.
• Also you probably noticed that you can upgrade the Q 6 times and the R only twice, I did this to fit in the space for just the 2 aspects that you gain throughout the match. Maybe I should pull a victor and make the aspects an item that boost the abilities for that form, but then I’m not sure what to do about the R ability unless that still stays the active transformer, idk lol (if anyone has any idea if I should keep it this way or modify this Idea please let me know)
• In addition to all of this if you are to change your aspect while you have buffs from your previous aspect those disappear as you transform.
• Zed you better watch out.
• Btw I’m open to all comments and critiques, I would really like all of your help in making this into an actual champion, also if you are confused by anything since this is my first time doing a champion concept and I’m not that good at it please let me know and I’ll explain it to you guys.
• Oh and I also want to put a disclaimer on the art work, I’m not exactly sure who drew them but I found them online and they worked with my concept very well, thank you artist.
I also want to add that i really think that we need more animal based champions in League since almost all of the non-humanoid champions are from the void.
