(Plz, don't ignore) Tactical browser game project
Hello people !** I really want your attention, your honest opinion, and maybe your help** because this project that I'm about to present is coming from my heart, and I really want a website like that for our community. Maybe, you do too ! Please comment and let me know your thoughts, or maybe how you can help.
Alright. I've been thinking about a web browser game that requires strategy and that can also appeal to League players when they feel like cooling off a bit. Just to chill and have a good time trying to figure out how to be the last one standing. NO, it's not your typical Battle Royale, it's really not, it's a strategic game that will probably be the only Web-based game that you'll spend a few hours on.
Goals: -Maybe Riot can take this upon further consideration, and dedicate a website-making team, or just help with it. -Maybe YOU CAN code and help (I suck at coding, I've tried like 4 times but I just can't, I'm just sharing the idea of the game) -Someone told me PHP/MySQL and Javascript are the only languages required to make this website. I don't know.
Name: LoL Arena (These are just templates I made, I suck at coding so the website could use a way better design) https://i66.servimg.com/u/f66/20/12/83/85/riotpr11.png https://i66.servimg.com/u/f66/20/12/83/85/riotpr12.png
Explanation The website itself would have, obviously, a sign up system, a login system, etc, and a member's profile system which would have: -Nickname or username -Player level: You would gain a certain amount of XP everyday for logging in. -3 Abilities that you've chosen when you signed up: Can be changed later on with currency earned in-game. -An avatar -Favorite champion -Title earned
What does leveling up bring to you ? When you gain XP and level up, your stats increase in the LoL Arena, which means for example you can get 50 HP per level, 5 strength, etc...
What would be a title earned ? It's like achievements in League of Legends through the missions. For example, you get the title: "Sneaky Sneaky" when you dodge 40 times. Something like that.
The avatar ? The avatars would be created by us in the community. They don't define what abilities you have, they are just cool pictures of cool looking characters. They can even be fan arts of real champions.
MOST IMPORTANT PART - FIGHTING SYSTEM
Where to start ? Let's start by saying that to enter a fight, you would need 5 other participants, which means 6 characters per round. When entering a round, you have objects (there would be health potions, strength potions etc... that can be bought in a market) and you just get in, waiting for other players to arrive. When the zone is full, the game starts. **ALL enemies have coded names **such as Enemy #1, #2 etc.., which means you won't be able to see if it's your friend playing so you can team up and win. Even the avatar would be randomized, and you won't be able to know what 3 abilities they have if they don't use them yet. So:
-Names are randomized -Abilities are unknown till used against you specifically or if it's a global ability used -Strength is unknown (because having 100 in strength doesn't mean 100 damage, it means a random number between 85-115 damage) -Enemy inventory is unknown (you can know how many objects they have, or what they have by clicking SPY) -Their actions are unknown_ (you can know their last action by clicking SPY)_
How does SPYING works ? When you spy, you get a random information from the opponent you spying on: -Exact strength -How many objects he has -What is one of the object he has -What was their last action
The game is turn-based but everyone does their actions at the same time, which means there is a 20 seconds timer that start counting after every action that prevents you from doing another one, so you have to wait for the timer to get to 0. This allows you to get around 19 seconds to think about your next move. If you don't do any action, your character will start losing health (100 as an example) every turn till he dies, or someone else kills him. When you do an action, it's written in text in the Fight Feed. When one of your opponents do an action, you won't know if it doesn't affect you (damage you, spy on you, etc...), so you would have to spy on him for a turn to know what he just did.
Search the zone ? When you click on search the zone, the coding will allow you to get either a random object or nothing. The object gained is added to your inventory and can be used anytime. You can search the zone only twice in the whole game.
Inventory All objects can only be used once, and they disappear when used.
Attacking When you press attack (it's like a basic attack) you do damage based on your strength. Just to add an element of luck, your strength doesn't do the exact number as damage all the time. It can go down 15, or go up 15 points. And you also have critical strike chance that double the damage that you do. Critical strike ONLY works on "attack". It doesn't work on any of your 3 abilities.
Dodging Dodging is not an action that you do. It just happens. The higher your dodge chance is, the more often you can dodge a basic attack, and it doesn't count as an action.
ABILITIES There would be a lot of abilities to choose from, and they all have cooldowns (From 3 to 7 turns) etc... For example_ (these are just example, they can be changed):_ -Garen Self-Heal: You heal yourself for a certain amount. The amount you heal is always Strength - 40. -Vel'Koz Eye: Spy on everyone in the zone, and gain one piece of information from everyone. -Katarina's Blade: Attack everyone in the zone and allows your critical strike chance to go up by 5%. -Aatrox Fury: Next turn, your strength will go up by 30. -Shen's Dexterity: You have 100% of dodging for the next 2 turns. -Karma's Link: You reduce the strength of the target by 15. -Fiddlesticks' Trick: You absorb a certain amount of health from your opponent to heal yourself
I think you get the idea.
Death When you die, it means that your HP has reached 0, so you are redirected to the Front page of the website. The amount of damage you dealt, the amount of damage you received, these will be sent to you in a private message. The code will store these variables and send them in a message as soon as you die or win. You will also be rewarded a certain amount of gold (in-game currency) and XP.
SO, honestly, what do you think of this project ? What needs to be changed ? Or is it something you see yourself playing ?
