Does RIOT actually look at our concepts and consider adding any of them to the game?

I was just interested to know if RIOT actually takes the time to look at these posts we make to see if there are actually any good skin/champion ideas that might be great for the game. I really want RIOT to take a look at some concepts I have since I think it will really make some champions even more amazing. I made a post before on some good PROJECT skins but was pretty anxious on RIOT to see them. I'm already assuming that they probably don't but if they do somehow miraculously stumble upon this post then here are the next PROJECT Skins that could really make my day:

  • PROJECT Wukong MonkeyKing
  • PROJECT Akali Akali
  • PROJECT Tahm Kench (IT's POSSIBLE) TahmKench
  • PROJECT Miss Fortune (the cherry on top) MissFortune

Looking at the track record of the project skins, they only use human, high-octane (usually) champs. So I doubt they would ever want to make PROJECT Kench or Wukong skin.

No. They do not care about what is posted on the boards other than if it is flamatory to Riot's public image. Even then they don't care.

They have made s few skins based on community ideas. Not sure about ability ideas, but I don’t think they have or will use champ concepts. I’m pretty sure (in the past at least) Riot employees are not supposed to read fan fics because they want to develop their own story.

They have in the past. Obviously not exactly the same, but I do know Arcade MF, Star Guardian Ahri and a few others were concepts that popped up before they were actual skins. from what I remember Riot was impressed by the designs of those skin concepts and eventually made there own versions that we have in the game now.

KennysDreamGirl2/6/2018, 10:55:19 AM1 votes

probably not. c&c is only here to make it look like theres a place for you creative people here but they don't really care

They do actually, but not always as it was posted. I know for a fact that kindred came from a post on the C&C boards, as well as Braum came from the community. It's just that people find their ideas to be amazing or want a skin for their champion that wouldn't fit or a champion whose abilities wouldn't fit in the game, and they get upset when it isn't added.

Riot will never do a 1:1 port of anything from C&C for a laundry list of legal reasons.

They will, however, occasionally take a look, especially if they've got a theme in mind and are looking for other iterations on that theme to see what people think matches that theme. A few skin ideas, like Surprise Party Fiddlesticks and Battle Bunny Riven, also started from the boards. Generally, do things for the art, and smile if Riot releases something vaguely similar - don't do it specifically to see your stuff in-game.

Wukong and TK aren’t human. No PROJECT for them, especially TK.

Star Guardian Poppy Dark Star Orianna Baker Pantheon PROJECT Jhin Blood Moon Jhin Pool Party Taric

Just to name a few skins that popped up recently that were well thought out fan skins.

Does anybody read the other posts before spouting off incorrect information? lolol

EskimoAlbedo2/8/2018, 9:59:02 PM1 votes

All your really doing is giving your preference on what should be project this isn’t insightful or useful at all if you want them to notice you try some concept art for the skins back up what you say

EvilGrinNol2/6/2018, 12:18:00 AM1 votes

Probably not if you want me to be completely honest. I can see them taking skins that are really popular and consider doing it but for things like player-made champions, a definite no.

Terozu2/6/2018, 1:29:24 AM1 votes

Yes they do, a few people posted ideas of a mount based champ who got the mounts health as a shield, a year later, Kled, a post got really popular asking for an old lady champ, a year later Camille, a couple concepts started saying aoe vision circle that then dealt damage, Swain, they actually do use bits and pieces of stuff on here, they just don't announce it.
