I am curious to know if someone has the championship riven icon does it mean they have championship riven?

That's usually how those skins work. DJ Sona Icon comes with the champion

I got that one from signing something from the client when Championship Riven came out

championship riven icon? You mean the season 2 championship icon that looks like http://cdn.garenanow.com/community/esports/s2worldfinals/summonericon.jpg

Cause that had nothing to do with Riven. It's just an icon that was given out during season 2 on a stream, and if you logged into the website they mentioned you'd unlock the icon.

Only ultimate skins (Pulsefire Ez, Spirit Guard Udyr and DJ Sona) come with icons.
