Extra Rune and Mastery Pages?

Dear Riot

I was wondering if Riot was considering adding some more runes and mastery pages with the new upcoming client?

I was wondering because League has had the same max number of runes and masteries sense the game has started (Max:20) and that was when they only had a handful of champions. But now they have over 120 champions and for those of us that own every single champion, and like to either make specific runes for champions, or more than one rune for one champion for a specific champion, it makes it hard to be prepared for any situation. Also, for those who own every single champion (me) and play a lot of Howling Abyss but you have all your runes and masteries set to a specific champion for when you play ranked, but get a champion in ARAMs that doesn't fit any of those pages, it makes it frustrating. There isn't enough time in champion select to make a completely new mastery page if you have to change your plans at the last second (say, you're last pick but the person before you picks the champion you planned for).

I feel like 50 pages would be a fair amount, considering opening up more rune pages would also get Riot more money for those who like to just straight out buy the 7 rune page bundles. It also gives everyone 10 champions per role. or the ability to have a number of runes and masteries ready for one champion depending on his opponent. Also, considering the runes and masteries on the new client aren't all laid out like they are on the older one, and are in a dropbox, it makes it a lot easier to control and handle.

Please really consider this, and if there is a reason why not, can someone from the Riot Team explain why exactly? - Lupus Drakon

given the fact you can opt to only have few pages if desired, on account of simplicity or if many would confuse, i see no reason why the option for more seasoned summoners to make as many pages as required cant be a thing. the pages arent forced on newer summoners, but advanced summoners are forced to the 20 page limit, which to me seems unfair. upvote

I agree. When I am playing Its hard to address specific champions when I am situated in a specific lane (basically I don't have the proper rune set up for the appropraite champions). Please address this concern for many players would agree with Lupus about this particular issue. Thank you for reviewing this. It is much appreciated!

As much as I'd love something to sink my IP into, I'd have so many empty rune pages because to be honest you don't even need 20 unless you're being incredibly specific on everything, like 7 ad and 7 ap at the most would set you off, I only need 11 to deal with everything.

How many decades do you have to play to get so many runes this is a problem for you?

I've only been around since Season 5, but I completely agree with the need to have a higher max number of rune pages. It's not just the fact that you might have one page for one champ, some summoners may have multiple rune pages for the same champ just depending on the matchup they are facing. Like for myself I have three different rune pages for one champion.
