[Champion Concept] Vis, The Brilliant Questioner

Preface: Control Mages are probably my favorite thing in league. Champs that don't add to direct damage, but are able to take an area and give a risk/reward to consider to anyone entering that zone. Or, somethings just make an area where a champion just SHOULDN'T enter. The idea is to get a champ who has intermediate damage output, somewhat restrictive cooldowns, but high impact spells.

Appearance: I have no ability to draw, nor do I have the best aesthetic visualization. My only idea would be for an appearance of a traveling researcher with notebooks and observation tools. Perhaps some random creations of his for whatever experiments he's come up with.

Lore: Vis is one of the champions Zuan who obsessed over gaining a better understanding of the world around him. Through questioning everything he knew, he came to higher understanding. This led him to the College of Techmaturgy, where his questions helped a young Viktor find the flaws preventing him from developing the Great Steam Golem, Blitzcrank. Vis' own questions led him to create many experiments involving light, gravity and electricity. These experiments helped Vis clarify and occasionally revise the world of Runeterra's oft neglected physics.

Eventually though, Vis grew board of his research and moved to the field. He wished to seek out renowned scientists such as Cecil B. Heimerdinger, Jayce and Corin Reveck, but both of these resided in Piltover. Due to the bad blood between the two cities, he went under the name of Issac of Demacia. He researched among many of the researchers in Piltover, even developing a few hextech machines that influenced gravity. However, he soon found it... lacking. Piltover and Zuan were both incredibly interested in machines using Hextech and Chrono-technology. Development wasn't Vis' interest, and so he soon left to continue his quest for greater understanding.

However, the questions started to become more difficult to ask. He had spent years studying the physics of the world and gained so much knowledge because of it. The unfortunate side-effect was Vis' brilliant mind couldn't come up with a question he didn't know the answer to. It was, to him, the greatest failing he had ever found... It wasn't that he was too smart, he simply lacked the creativity and drive that once made him such a brilliant questioner.

This changed once he happened upon a young yordle Lulu staring at a tulip and muttering about the dangers of flowers. Though the whimsical mage had strange obsessions with purple and analogies that Vis didn't understand, he found solace in her randomness. When she had no complaints about Vi following her, he took this as her acceptance of his studying. Though he sometimes worried about his safety around the yordle and sometimes found himself as a flower or small animal for extended periods of time, he slowly began to rediscover his love for questioning. Even the inherent danger of Lulu's actions led to Vis questioning how to stay safe, which lead to many small creations. Sometimes it would be something as simple as a shiny light-producing flower that would remind Lulu that she had turned Vis into a squirrel again. Other times, it was a electromagnetic creation to scare away the ferocious beasts Lulu accidentally irritated. To Vis, Lulu was a gift. The young yordle didn't have to make sense, Vis loved to question what she meant. He wondered at the most simple creations and yearned to understand the great and many 'whys' of the world once more.

Eventually, with his love of questioning regained, he parted ways to go find the answers to the many questions he had acquired with Lulu.

Quotes: Selected: "The outcome of a battle, a great question indeed!" Joke: (Takes out a notebook) "Some questions are just too easy. Favorite food? Apple. Favorite number? 42. The airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow? What do you mean, a Demacian or Noxian Swallow?" Joke: "1 tablespoon Sugar... 12 tablespoons butter... 3 cups flour... combine and cool for 30 minutes. Add Apple mix... Odd, I don't remember this pi..." Joke: (To Lulu) "No, no. We talked about this, Lulu... I'm not too tall, it's technically all relative."

Taunt: "Taunts? What a repulsive practice. Words can't crush you at a rate of 9.8m/s^2." Taunt: "If you fall, please don't get up. You've already used up all of your potential."

Abilities

Passive: Complete Research: Upon Kill or Assist, Vis recovers 15% of his maximum mana.

Q: Light Wave: A straight line skill shot (1200 range) that reveals target enemy struck for two seconds and damages them for 100/150/200/250/300 (+60% AP) (+2% Current Mana). If ally champion is struck, they gain stealth for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds or next ability cast. Does 150% damage to minions or monsters. Cooldown: 13/12/11/10/9 seconds. Mana cost: 80

W: Electromagnetic Field: Area of Effect zone spell that lasts for 6/6.25/6.5/6.75/7 seconds with a radius of 400 units. The zone gives enemies a movement speed buff of 30% while moving towards the center of the circle and a slow of 10% when moving away from the center. Enemies staying in the zone for 3 seconds will be stunned for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds. Cannot be stunned twice. Field gives 20/40/60/80/100 magic damage (+10% AP)(+2% Current Mana) per second. Cooldown: 16 seconds AFTER area disappears. Mana cost: 80/100/120/140/160. Cast Range: 800

Note: This allows any enemy champion to walk out of the field no issue, and even the slowest champs on no boots can cover the entire area without a stun. The danger comes coupled with other lockdown on the team that a champ might overstay the 3 second time, as it is not dangerous by itself (the damage isn't terrifically high).

E: Prism: A triangular wall with sides length 125 (AA range of most melees). The structure has 150/200/250/300/450 HP (+10% Current Mana) with no armor/MR. It does block skill-shots, but not AOE spells/targeted abilities/auto attacks. Can be destroyed and takes damage from skill shots (should give like 15 gold). If not destroyed, will disappear in 5 seconds. If Light Wave is used on Prism, the Light Wave splits into a larger scale color spectrum, damaging and blinding all enemies in a line for .5/.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds. Would work like a traditional prism in using Light Wave. Damage is reduced by 30%. Cast Range: 400. Mana Cost: 90/120/150/180/210. Cool Down: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds on cast. Light Wave will NOT proc stealth when used with Prism.

Note: This should make it impossible to cast two Q's on one wall. The hope would be that it wouldn't do too much damage when coupled with Light Wave, but that the damage could be traded off in the cost restrictive amount of 170 mana in the early game. Later in the game, with the emphasis on mana, that cost would be somewhat removed, so the ability to cast twice on one wall has to be restricted.

R: Gravity Shift: 1.5 second channel. AOE zone 450 radius that forces opponents in zone to track towards center (displacement). At the end of 3 seconds, zone collapses dealing 100/200/300 (+60% AP) (+10% Current Mana) in Magic Damage. Cool Down: 120/100/90. Mana Cost: 100/140/180

do you have any idea how huge a circle with a radius of 600 is?
