*Freljord, mountainous land covered in snow and ice, home to many vicious ice storms, birthplace of battlethirsty warriors.
Several clans fought endlessly, until three great tribes stood unbeaten, to take each other's life for the quest of conquest. *

In order to maintain war, warriors are essential, and so the tribes began their endlessly conflict to expand, even to those who have no interest in a united Freljord. One particular tribe forced outlanders and small villages to fight for the glory of triumph - The Winter's Claw.

It was a stormy day, a massive amount of snow plastered the landscape, and in the middle a nostalgic village. A very lively town despite of the freezing death knocking on the door. Like a perfect factory in harmony, people hunt, cook, craft and train for a greater good for everyone.

On the horizon, a troop of soldiers headed towards the village, too small to be a threat, one by one villager gathered to greet the troop.
As the troop arrived, armors covered in thickened snow, one stepped up, carrying a great letter, signed by the Winter's Claw leader.

"In the name of Sejuani, leader and bringer of hope in the dire times of Freljord, we shall take every men for the greater purpose of uniting Freljord under the banner of the Winter's Claw."

The announcement was loud and clear - the idyllic and peaceful village was forced to be teared apart, from the gathered crowd shouted "No! You won't take my son!", "W-What!? I don't want to die for someone I don't even know!", "I'm out of here. I rather get lost out there in a snowstorm than to fight for a tribe I've never heard of".

When the first people tried to run, the troops scattered away, forcefully kept them in the crowd.

"This is a direct order of the leader of Winter's Claw. Obey or you will face the consequences"

*The crowd in panick, tried to get its way somehow out, but there was no chance to escape. *

"What do you think you do?" the voice came from a person completely hidden behind a cloak and hood "Every human being has the right to chose for what he fights for - not Sejuani nor you are allowed to take any of these people with you. In fact, I will make sure that this very village will never fall for your foolish war".

The troop attacked the mysterious man simultaneously, not knowing that in the next moment the person used his cloak to blind the troops, while revealing his identity. "W-Who are YOU!?" one of the soldiers dare question, while the rest continued with their relentless attacks, but the mysterious person once again sent them forth to the ground, somehow knowing their true weakness.

"Call me Allengard. As I am the protector of this village, and not Sejuani nor the Winter's Claw or anyone else will conquer this village." the soldiers ran in fear, not knowing that their life has been spared generously.

No... The Winter's Claw are the only hope for the Freljord. Aside lot's of typos that make this hard to read you seem to forget what Sejuani, Volibear and Udyr are taking up the banner for. There's a brutal conflict with Lissandra coming involving her bringing forth a global Ice Age by summoning The Watchers, whom i take to be titanic ice beings. They'll turn everyone into corrupted, evil ice creatures or straight up murder them. The true goal of the Claw IS to unite the Freljord. Without a tested, battle ready nation there won't be so much of a 'conflict' against Liss as there will just be Liss playing her tricks until she eventually achieves her goal right under the Freljords content little turned up noses. Sejuani know explicitly of Lissandra's plan and even though her campaign does involve her, Olaf's, and other 'chaotic' tribe's own goals the end result is a not-as-dead and frozen over Freljord.

You're saying their only purpose is to propagate an endless war to maintain primitive power struggles but think about Volibear for a moment. He's a literal prophecy who walked up the tallest mountain in the world. One of the coldest, most treacherous places to ever be. Underneath some Primordial Magic Storm the size of a polar ice cap. He ate lightning blast it threw at him and through that and his shaman abilities he saw a vision of the future where Lissandra isn't stopped and his people die. His entire race subjected to genocide. So yeah, he finds Sejuani and she's like I know Liss is gonna screw everything up, if you ride with me we can take this land and turn it back into to bad-ass war tribe civilization it used to be. The kind it NEEDS to be. The kind that was strong enough so that if united could end this Ice Witch before she makes us all go away forever. And Volibear wasn't always the type to be down for this stuff. But he knew before his vision quest that the Ursine had grown weak and unready. Vulnerable to tricks and attacks. The kind of unpreparedness you see in a society that's forgotten about conflict and just wants to be cozy. But he has to do what's necessary to save his people AND the Freljord.

And what about Udyr? The dude is some crazy super rare type of being from outta nowhere who just happens to be LITERALLY ATTUNED THE LANDS OF THE FRELJORDS. The Freljord is seriously talking to this dude and telling him he's absolutely got to stop Lissandra or pretty much the exact same thing Volibear foresaw will come to pass. And he's an even more unlikely a Winter's Claw candidate than Volibear. Beings like him just want to be alone with the land and detest being around people let alone forging a campaign to unite a nation. But he does it, because it's just what needs to be done and it's so obvious to him he just falls in line with them. He's just like, Oh hey, you guys know about the Ice Witch and the Eternal Ice Age of Evil? Oh, you do? Right on, let's go save the world then.

Honestly...don't be offended but reading your story made me kinda get this Avarosan vibe off you man. The whole short-sighted, idealistic, political thing is just so not the Freljord. Politics, large scale farming, castles and 'peace-keeping' are an entirely new way of living to the Freljord. And right off the bat it's not working out. Sure, people are 'prospering' and 'enjoying the finer things' but that's too bad because an all out dedication to developing a nation copied from the other continents is gonna be the undoing of the entire Freljord. It's not like this is just one side of the coin either. It's written in stone, we know what's gonna happen. Meanwhile, Ashe wants to adopt a foreign lifestyle, wed herself to a foreign bandit and undermine the ways of her people and the salvation of her land so she can 'talk it out'. Also, you can look it up in the lore, her government is racist against the Ursine and have always undermined them and turned them away when they would have joined with her to fight the Apocalypse. War means survival and she won't stand up and take it.

Your Allengard sounds like he's too comfortable. poo

Very well put Neverworld. I was speaking about your story not from the limitations of what the characters of the lore know but what the lore itself tells us, the players. So there's mostly personal opinion in my original comment. I have a hard time tolerating anything that sounds like it disagrees with the Winter's Claw mission or sympathizes with the Avarosan.

Truthfully, I did take a lot of liberty in describing what's going to happen. But I was just basing that off of the lore for all the Freljord champs and what seems to be set to take place. Volibear and Udyr are out to stop a calamity and they chose Sejuani as the most practical leader it would seem because they know her campaign has #1 Suspect in its sights and that they respect her ways more than Ashe.

Udyrs Lore does specifically state that he felt the spirits of the Freljord calling out to him about a dark presence stirring in the ice. And that he then understood the true threat the Ice Witch posed to his home land and that she was the herald of a greater darkness that would soon envelope the land.

And if Volibear and his tribe allied themselves with Sejuani the warrior who would fight the great evil with them then I assume there's at least been some discussion between the three pretty much confirming Lissandra's gotta go. Especially when "Volibear and the Ursine now stand ready for the dark day that looms over the icy horizon."

But in all you're right. It's still speculation until or if ever the story moves forward.

BTW: Like you said that a story is like a coin - it has two sides of the story. One is that a troop came in and said that they will take the men in the name of Sejuani. But what if not Sejuani, but someone else lower in the rank, does these things icognito? Who knows, who knows.

I found very interesting! Wait, is Allengard actually an confidant or lieutenant of Sejuani who's gone in to dispatch a counterfeit/deceived Winter's Claw troop trying to conscript new troops for someone else other than Sejuani? No, wait he outright rejects the Winter's Claw right of conquest... Then Sejuani will come in later on and unleash THE WRATH OF THE WINTER'S CLAW and Allengard will swear fealty! This story could get good. Unless you meant for the title to mean the Wrath of the Winter's Claw as in Allengard being like a bane to the Winter's Claw. In which case, no... I'm not interested.

Oh, thanks for the response. Only thing I'd say to that is The Winter's Claw as I've seemed to understand it were from much farther north. Where things were tougher and maybe a little more warlike and tribal. That seems really far south, past Ashe's territory even.
