Taric, The Forgotten Gem

Hi, I'm a main Support and have lately been playing Taric and in all honesty, he is weak. He has long cooldowns, bad peel and weak damage ( He does get cdr from his passive ). I feel that, for example, a buff on his ulti would make him more viable. At the moment the ult deals low base damage (150/250/350 + 50%AP) and gives a fairly nice ad/Ap aoe buff. Some changes they could do is to change the scaling to hp and/or add an aoe knock-up. They could also rework the ult altogheter.

A suggestion for a reworked ult:

Name: Gemstone Armor Passive: Gives Taric 0.5 ability power for each point of bonus Armor Active: Taric creates a gemstone armor around the targer ally giving them 15/25/50 Attack Damage and 20/30/40 armor and making them immune to knock-ups and knock-backs. The spell cannot be cast on Taric himself.

I feel that the Gemstone Armor gives Taric a unique element and tons of damage, with the knock up/back immunity he can be a counter pick when facing Lee, Jarvan, janna etc. The AD + Resistance keeps some elements from his old utlimate while, at the same time, refreshing it.

This is only one suggestion (which most likely needs some balancing).
