Blitzcrank half scale rework
Hello! I was inspired to create an interesting kit for Blitzcrank after playing a couple games recently and I was wondering if anyone in the community would like to see this old bot get a new kit! I have a concept for his new look on the way but I'm not quite done with it. If people show interest I'd gladly share my idea's and design.
Update: Hey again! I'm back and ready to share my idea's. Let's get right into it:
Q: Rocket Grab - It's still a hook and by all means it's still Blitz! My idea stems from how intense blitz's grab is and how it can affect team fights. The changes I'd like to make to this ability is the positioning of the hook and the wind up time. Blitz is the only champion in the game that has a hook coming from the right side of his body. Although it is an interesting quirk it also proves incredibly deceptive and has caused complaints across the years of the champions existence. The change I'd like to make start with changing his grab from the right side to the center. The new animation will start with planting his foot in a lunged position, signifying the fact he is grounded. Then his torso rotates to his Rocket arm side (which is his right I'm sure) and fires his Rocket grab from the fixed position. I feel this change would be more quality to life but also provide a brief wind up time to such a devastating ability. This wind up would definitely be shorter than Thresh's but I have not designated a set time for tweaking and balancing reasons.
W: Overdrive - Honestly, this is the ability that I like the least in his kit. It's basic and I feel it is so hit or miss that it's a rather niche ability, especially after they added the slow after the speed boost. My change is making this "run fast" ability into a dash. Outlandish, yes, but I feel that if we orient him around more risk and reward we can also make this lovable bot more fun. This dash will be set to a certain amount of units with a pause like Galio Justice Punch (but not as long). I feel this would synergies more with pull as this dash's wind up can be paired with the Rocket grab wind up so it's only one wind up across two abilities. Now, this is an incredibly good ability if I do say so myself. I think it's too good without something to counteract it. After the dash It's followed by the brief slow already in the existing ability. This makes his Overdrive seem more risky to use than the existing ability since it can put you into a rather sticky situation.
E: Power Fist - Same ability, Don't see any reason to change in in particular (but a VFX change would be nice to match the rest of the kit)
R: Static Field - Okay, think Static field, but like a Janna ult. This wonderful ult still silences, still does some pretty good damage, but now it forces enemies away depending on how close they are to Blitzcrank upon activation. With the 600 Unit's the ultimate already has, The ult will have 3 layers in total with varying changes. The closest layer, that being the 200 meters to Blitz would be a knock back to the outer limit of the Ultimate, receive maximum damage and silence. The middle layer knocks to the outer limit of the Ultimate but with reduced damage and provide a silence. The outer limit of this ult would only provide displacement and a silence with the minimum amount of damage dealt. This Silence will be reduced due to how loaded this ability is.
R Passive - Same as before, the only difference is this passive only strikes enemies who have been hit with Blitz's Auto attacks or abilities. After ult is discharged, this passive goes on cool-down.
Passive: Mana Barrier - Same as before but now works like Sion's barrier. After it is triggered if the barrier still has health it will disperse it's remaining health in damage through a AOE effect about the size of aftershock.
