Malphite's auto attack looks pretty dumb, and his ability don't feel as powerful as it should be in his lore. (By powerful I mean visually). And his q is a pretty weird skill, since it does't really match his theme... (Why would he roll a stone wheel towards his enemies???) Been playing since S3 and I always liked Malphite's theme but the gameplay is pretty boring.

Oleandervine1 votesHis lore is one of the gray area lores that's not really cannon anymore, and merely there because they don't have new stuff yet. Their new lore initiative has expanded the world, and it's been ritualistically removing otherworld presences that aren't Void from the game, and focusing the story on Runterra.

PaperlessKut1 votesI have to agree. I love Malphite with all my heart (heck I bought the Odyssey Bundle for him within an hour of its release), but a bit of his animations to look "clunky". I also think his model is personally a little weird looking, considering sometimes I mistake his entire face for a nose. And like some people have mentioned, while some of his newer skins (especially Odyssey Malphite) look good (granted I dislike his Mecha skin without a chroma), a lot of his older skins leave something to be desired. While I do I love his animations for how funny they look, they shouldn't be funny with such a serious character. I mean his R literally looks like he is T-Posing through the air and his auto attacks and emotes are just hilariously weird and old looking compared to his surrounding cast members.
