change the way rotating game mode works

Tried looking for a thread for this but couldn't find one. So I was thinking instead of having a rotating game mode, why not just have all game modes be an option? For example, if you play Battlefield or Call of Duty online you can choose Team Deathmatch, Sabatoge, King of the Hill, etc. That way people always have the opportunity to choose whether they feel like some Ascension today or some Urf tomorrow, it's there.
