[Champion Concept] Gor'roth, the Void Nexus

**Primer: **

This champion grew out of the idea of a champion getting bonus health from resistances, which lends itself quite well to a very tanky character, so everything about this champion works off of him being a tank and not being expected to do damage.

Originally, this champion was supposed to be human, but his overall kit lent itself much better to a void creature absorbing energy from everything around it. I tried to make him as "balanced" as possible on paper due to the fact that I'll never be able to test him in game item 3070 . (I am a programmer, so given the opportunity to code him into the game if even to just test him a bit, I would jump on it in less than a heartbeat)

Background:

As stated above, he is a void creature. Unfortunately lore is not my strong suit, but essentially his "void job" is to absorb and disperse energy. If anyone wants to write him a lore I'd love you <3

Stats:

Primary role: Tank Secondary: Support

HP: 440 (+90) AD: 51 (+3.5) Armor: 21 (+3.5) MR: 30 (+1.25) Move Speed: 345 Range: 150

Passive: Void Shell

Gor'roth gains bonus health equal to 200% bonus Armor and 250% bonus magic resistance. Gor'roth's maximum amount of absorption is equal to 100% of his total armor and magic resistance. Gor'roth's basic attacks give him absorption equal to 20% of the damage dealt.

Gor'roth uses absorption instead of mana or another resource in order to gate the effects of his abilities: the more energy he's absorbed, the better his abilities (at least the damaging ones). His basic attacks give him absorption so that he can function decently in the early game, but most of his absorption in the late game will be coming from the passive on his W. Some funny interactions with gaining and losing bonus armor and mr and his passive are solved as follows: in general, his passive affects his maximum health, any gains or loses to armor and mr don't change his current %of max health

**Q: ** Diverge

RANGE: 400 COST: 100% of current absorption CD: 10/9.25/8.5/7.75/7 seconds ACTIVE: Gor'roth creates an explosion at the target area dealing damage and pushing himself and any enemy hit to the edge of the explosion. MAGIC DAMAGE: 45 / 65 / 85 / 105 / 125 (+40% consumed absorption) EXPLOSION RADIUS: 450

This ability works somewhat like Ziggs' satchel charge except that it doesn't sit on the ground, it happens immediately (probably with some travel time). The range and explosion radius are set the way they are so that Gor'roth will almost always push himself at least a little. The pushback is akin to the pushback on Janna's ult in a smaller range.

W: Absorb

RANGE: 800 COST: N/A CD: 15/13.5/12/10.5/9 seconds PASSIVE: Gor'roth gains absorption equal to 20% of all damage dealt to him. (Calculated before resistances) ACTIVE: Gor'roth shields an allied champion for a certain amount of time. While shielded, any damage that would be done to the ally is dealt to Gor'roth instead. If cast on himself, Gor'roth gains 30% damage reduction and the duration is doubled. SHIELD DURATION: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds

This ability was a bit tricky to balance as it serves almost as a mini Kayle ult, its power is balanced around that fact. This ability serves two purposes: to give Gor'roth his main source of absorption (taking damage), and making himself a meatshield for his allies.

E: Converge

RANGE: 275 / 310 / 345 / 380 / 415 COST: 100% of current absorption CD: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 seconds ACTIVE: Creates a zone around Gor'roth, enemies still in the zone after .5 seconds are drawn to Gor'roth's location.

*Things to note about this ability:

  1. this is his only ability that uses his absorption but doesn't have a bonus effect for using it (use it wisely)
  2. this is the sister ability to Diverge; they can be used in concert, but the effectiveness of Diverge is reduced
  3. this ability works similar to Diana's moonfall, except that it isn't an instant "vaccum" as is therefore a stronger vaccum (pulling everyone it hits all the way into Gor'roth*

R: Void Nexus

RANGE: 550 COST: 100% of current absorption CD: 180 / 150 / 120 seconds ACTIVE: Gor'roth suppresses surrounding enemy champions for a short duration , dealing magic damage equal to 5% of the target's maximum health (+1% per 100 absorption consumed). After the suppression, he gains bonus armor and magic resist for 5 seconds, gains health equal to 30% of the damage dealt, and his absorption is filled to 100%. SUPPRESSION DURATION:: 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds BONUS ARMOR & MAGIC RESIST: 40 / 55 / 70

Clearly a power effect, his ult should feel like a huge power surge (both for his team and for himself). It is (hopefully) balanced by the fact that he suppresses himself as well, and thus can't do damage during the channel.

Any comments/questions/suggestions/critique is welcomed and appreciated!

i feel this champion is like galio. i think his main way to deal damage is auto attack, so pushing effect of Q doesn't suit with him. i think this champ needs some cc or gapclose to catch up enemy to use E or R effectively. and he needs damage source that depend on auto attack like braum. amount of absorption don't affect E, it means best time to use E is only he has low amount of absorption. so add scaling slow to E will be fun, but this idea makes him too stronk maybe. when cast W on ally, incoming damage is reduced by Gor'roth's ar and mr? this shield can prevent CC? and aoe skills can hit twice?
