Skins for maps?

So I'm getting bored of playing on the same old map over and over again but I don't want to change the layout of them like where the monsters are and the path you have to take but I think it would make the game much more interesting if you could vote from a selection a different map styles. for example you could have a project map to match the project skins or an** Atlantis** themed map that would go well with and water based champions. The monsters would have new looks too so they suited the environment that you are playing in but still have the same boosts and what not so the dragon could be a huge robot for the project map or a Kraken type monster for the Atlantis one.

Just a thought, let me know if this is stupid or if you have thought about the same thing and what your idea are.

MapSkins.com has what you want. I'm always plugging that site and for good reasons :P (They have a classic SR mod! Latest patch broke it though :/)

This is a great concept! It would be nice if Riot would use this idea as a trial and then decided from there based on the response. [slayer-jinx-catface]

It's not a stupid idea, but it is impractical from what I understand in their Ask Riot about the Snow Down maps, basically they state that the entirety of SR's style isn't something that can just be replaced by an overlay. It would apparently take a lot of time to create a new overlay for the map, and therefore it falls into pretty low priority if it's even considered.

Great idea, I think they should have a talk over it with the team leaders of this department and see where it goes from there.
