Do project skin gifts count as first strike?

DrQuack··3 votes·1,935 views

I was looking to get myself a project skin for the First Strike event (and awesome loading screen), but a friend gifted it to me before I could log in. Will I still get the first strike icon despite not having purchased it myself?

As long as it's given/received by the 15th, you will get the First Strike loading screen!

A completely serious, totally legit question for Riot.
