Grace, The Peace of Souls

Lore

There are those such as Thresh, who simply take the souls of the dead and torture them for their own amusement. Then there are those such as Karthus that wanted to know what life after death was, and soon found what it was. Finally, there are those such as The Kindred, who take those in their final moment of life. But the question still remains. What happens to the souls of those who go peacefully? Those that take a peaceful death from Lamb. And what of those who take Wolf's chase? That answer is known to Grace, who guides souls to their final passage. After The Kindred has taken the lives of their victim, Grace will take their soul and depending on if Lamb or Wolf took their soul, their passage will be different.

To the victims of Lamb they would receive a peaceful transition into their eternal bliss. The souls of the peaceful would meet Grace on top of the edge to the spirit world, where Grace would be standing before them. He would say, "Hello spirit, your bliss awaits you." He would open up a portal to their one desire, and lead them into their eternity of peace. Their life would become only one filled with friends and family, one where they would be truly happy.

To the victims of Wolf they would receive a most unkind transition into their eternal torture. The souls would meet Grace on top of the edge of the spirit world, where Grace would be standing before them. He would say, "You have broken your peace." Just as soon as they would meet, the soul would be tangled in chains, to be dragged down into their eternal torture, to ever feel the pain of death. Their life would become one of only suffering and pain.

That is what Grace does, but who is Grace? Grace is the guider of souls into life after death, and naturally helps those that accepted death, and does not help those who defied the natural order. Those that let themselves be guided by Grace are guided into their own peace, and those that stray too far from him, are left in the eternal torture.

Grace in appearance is a man that towers above most, he has dark brown hair, and wears a trench coat that covers all of his body and lets it simply stand as he is a simple man. His forearms are covered with bandages that cover over his scars of every soul he guides. For every time that a loses a soul that he was guiding, a physical pain is inflicted upon his body, but what happens to the soul that leaves him is even worse. Of course, these souls that he guides are the ones that are killed by lambs.

"I guide the souls of the peaceful, and those of the un-restful must find their own way."

Kit or Abilities

Passive Guide to Peace Grace always guides souls to a better existence, and will passively give his allies a better existence the closer the stand to him. Passively there is a ring of peace that is always 800 units around Grace. Allies that are inside of this ring gain a buff called Guiding.

Guiding: This unit is currently being guided by Grace.

After 10 seconds of having the Guiding buff on an ally gives them the buff Guided.

Guided: This unit has become guided by Grace and now has increased AD/AP (Whichever is higher at the time of becoming Guided), slightly increased movement speed and increased health regeneration.

AD/AP bonus: 20/35/50/65. Movement speed increase: 10/20/30/40. Increased health regeneration: 2/4/6/8 every five seconds. (All bonuses are based off of Levels 1-6, 7-11, 11-16, 17-18)

Grace does not gain any bonuses from his passive. Any Ally that steps out of the ring will lose their Guiding buff, but if an ally with the Guided buff leaves the passive ring, they will lose 5% of their movement speed, they will lose the Guided buff and will not be able to be affected by Guiding or Guided for the next 3 seconds

Q Lift Their Spirits Cooldown: 20/17/14/11/8 After a 0.75 second delay, Grace heals and gives a movement speed bonus to all ally champions that are currently provided the Guided buff. Any ally champions with the Guiding buff are given half of the heal and are not given the movement speed buff. Grace will receive a more heal depending on how many targets he has with the Guided buff inside of his passive. If there are not Guided allies in his passive, Grace will receive the regular heal amount. Heal Amount: 75/125/175/225/275 (+60% of Ability Power). Heal for Grace: +25/50/75/100/125 for every Guided unit in the area.

W Wolf's Victims Cooldown: 18/15/12/9/7 Grace does not guide those who have fallen to The Wolf of The Kindred. After a 1 second delay, every Enemy Champion that is inside of Grace's passive will be chained down by the chains of their torturous after life. All enemies will be snared in place and take damage, any enemies that stay inside of Grace's passive will be slightly slowed after they have been snared for as long as they are in his passive. Damage: 50/75/100/125/150 (+40% of Ability Power). Snare time: 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds. Slow after the snare: 4%/8%/12%/16%/20%.

E Can They Be Guided? Cooldown: 21/18/15/12/10 First Cast: Grace tests the resolve of the spirits around him by pulling all enemy champions that are in his passive closer to himself. if the target would have been pulled over Grace, they will instead stop at Grace. Distance Pulled: 300 units.

Second Cast: After a 0.5 second delay, Grace tests the resolve of the spirits around him by pushing away all enemy champions that are in his passive from himself. All targets hit will be slowed for a short time. Any target that is pushed out of Grace's passive or steps out of it within a second of being knocked back, will receive a more potent slow and will receive it for double the time. Knockback Distance: 400 units. Slow: 25% for 2.5 seconds. If knocked out Slow: 50% for 5 seconds.

R Guide to the Afterlife Cooldown: 150/110/70 After a 0.5 second delay, Grace will make his passive ring glow and double its range, but now every champion inside is affected by the Guided buff. All champions inside will also be connected to Grace. Any champion inside that steps outside of the range will take damage and be stunned for 2 seconds. If a champion uses a displacer such as flash, where they do not pass over the ring, they will not be affected by the damage or stun. Damage: 100/200/300 (+70% of Ability Power). Duration: 8/10/12 seconds.

(Feel free to ask any questions or leave any comments in the comment section below. If you are wondering why there are not stats and/or there are not mana costs and cool downs. It is because I am usually terrible at making them so I decided to not put them in this time.)

Mana costs and cooldowns are very important to understanding a kit, more so than damage and scaling. I can't tell where Grace's power is supposed to be allocated without an idea of how often he can cast which abilities.

I think you are underestimating how long 10 seconds is in game - trying to set up Guided without your ult in combat would be frustrating. Also, I'm confused about Guiding vs Guided, is it supposed to mean that once a champion is Guided they remain that way forever?

My biggest suggestion would be to consider more interesting expressions of his power. Flat AD/AP is a bit hard to notice and could be shown in more interactive ways. All of his abilities are instant-cast AoE's centered on him, which means the ranges and cooldowns of these abilities are extremely important in understanding how useful they are, but as it stands he seems way too strong in his area, while completely weak beyond it. This might be manageable if his effectiveness was nerfed and he had any access to mobility, but in the current state Grace would be very frustrating both to play and to play against.
