A skin concept I finished recently for Poppy, based on Oni Mythology and taking some inspiration from the Bloodmoon and Demon skins currently in LoL. Let me know what you think and thanks for checking this out, cheers!

Thank you, it definitely seemed to fit more naturally with Trundle, but this was a fun alternative.

Thank you! It definitely came across my mind when designing this, but it's fun to mix themes with characters that are less likely to fit right off the bat. :)

I love this concept so much. I'd loved to see it done. It could do the job of being an anti-thesis Poppy skin. The fufill the area where the skins team failed in regards to noxus poppy.

Thank you, this was one of my favorite concepts to make so far! And to be fair to Noxus Poppy, it was made ages ago so they had to keep a similar design for the die-hard fan lol.

They did have to keep a similar design, but like Enchanted Galio or Hextech Galio the skin could have gone for some new VFX, or even some recolours. The model is just really out of place when you look at the abilities and poppy's personality. Whilst I wouldn't expect them to give her new VO for a 520 skin, they could have very welly given it some red colouring to at least make the theme more promising.

There was SO MUCH potential in Poppy's skins, but the skins team just consistently dropped the ball.

I imagine they could have done A LOT more then what we got with Poppy's skins at least. Some small recolours and some small particles effects would have been really nice.

It would have been really cute for Ragdoll Poppy Q to make feather fluff into the air, or for Blacksmith Poppy E charge to be shaped like an Anvil, or for Battle Regalia Poppy W to have the Demacia logo on it.

Even Star Guardian they messed up horribly, and when they DID change it the excuse they gave was embarrassing.

I don't expect skins to be absolutely godly and look like they are worth $20. But I just want the skins team to put in a little more then the bare minimum amount of work when reworking old champions.

While the blood moon skins are more based on cults and Yokai (japanese spirits that screw things up for you, for example, the Kappa, who drags you down unless you give it cucumbers, Nurarihyon, who steals food, and Oboroguruma, a yokai of a bullock cart that runs people down). They're usually more trickster characters, though their tricks can cause people to die a lot. Oni, on the other hand, are much more malicious, with red ones often being violent and impulsive. Oni use a club as well.

Also, the author did say that they took inspiration from blood moon and the demon skin lines.

Basically, yeah. I took some designs from the Bloodmoon and Demon skins and tried to blend them rather than opting for one or the other. There are some motifs and shape designs calling back to Bloodmoon though, especially in the belt buckle and shield: http://i.imgur.com/9gVxnbS.png

I'm a kassadin main (Ironically enough by the name) but I love champions who can abuse walls, like kayn, kassadin, ezreal, talon and lee sin - though I don't play lee anymore, talon is a very iffy champ for me (sometimes i get fed sometimes i feed), kayne is somewhat risky but he's really fast and really fun and poppy.. I love beating people up for stealing my kayne. she's probably the most stable wall abuser i've seen and probably my best champion overall - or she could be if i actually played her more. I'm starting to get used to ezreal, honestly I didn't play him much until recently but i like how he works.... trying to find a new main to replace kassadin since he simply feels too weak early on, and poppy (once i get a skin in a few days), ezreal and soraka (that star guardian soraka skin is absolutely gorgeous.) are top contenders for the role. This skin would provide me with just another reason to choose poppy over all else.

I like the VFX but i don't like her skin and face itself. The abilities and the outift are beautiful in contrast at least.

As a side-note, how did you take these screenshots? It has to be a real made skin and function in-game to look like it, no?

Or did you just take the default ones and edit them over?

It's actually all 2D drawing made to look like game models and done at the same angles as LoL. I might try and learn 3D one of these days though, seems like a fun skill to learn.

I'd love for this skin to get more attention. I love the way it looks, especially the hammer and clothes. I tell ya, I'd be instabuying this if it ever gets made.
