Adrienna - Battlemage

This is a mage champion idea i came up with. Don't know if it is any good, but thought I should post it. No actual damage numbers are included because I don't know how to balance a champion.

Adrienna - Witch of the Darkness

Adrienna is a portal witch from the void. She uses her portal and her staff to defeat her enemies, which continues to make her stronger. She waits for the day that she can destroy her staff as her greatest sacrifice for the good of the void.

Passive - Draw Out The Darkness - When Adrienna attacks an enemy champion, she applies a mark on them for 4 seconds. If she attacks them again, the mark bursts, dealing bonus magic damage and slowing the enemy champion.

Q - Black Portal - 30-27-24-21-18 second cooldown - 80 mana Adrienna creates a large, circular, black portal near her. Over the course of 10 seconds, the portal size slowly decreases. Allies gain movement speed while walking towards the center of the portal and are in its radius, while enemies are slowed while walking away from the center. When enemies and allies die while in the portal, then a Remnant of them remains. The Remnants are dragged to center as the portal closes in on them. When the portal closes, all of the Remnants are transformed into a neutral monster camp that both teams can fight to gain gold and experience. Healing does trigger if the camp is summoner 11 .

W - Wrath Of The Darkness - No cooldown - 60-70-80-90-100 mana Adrienna makes her portal writhe with energy, dealing magic damage to all enemies in the portal but destroying it, along with all the Remnants inside. Enemies take more damage based on how large the portal is, dealing more the smaller it becomes. Adrienna cannot cast this ability if her portal is not active.

E - Call Of The Dark - 12 second cooldown - 50-55-60-65-70 mana Adrienna calls the darkness from the void, dealing damage and knocking up all enemies in the radius. She also collects all Remnants who are hit by this.

R - Adaptive Darkness - 1 cast each game - No mana This ability begins the game upgraded with a passive. Adrienna can attack Remnants, sucking them up in order to create a more powerful upgrade. At level 6, 11, and 16 she can upgrade this ability. Doing so will give her a choice between 3 different active effects (Supportive, point and click/skillshot damage and/or cc, or a lingering zone of helpful effects). Each of these upgrades is adds a very powerful effect. However, she can only use the ability once per game…

I designed Adrienna as a mage that can adapt to many situations. Her ultimate can be used early to help snowball in an early game focused team, or used later to help win a crucial teamfight. She can try to farm as much as she can using her camps from the portal, or can just try to poke a lot with the portal.

I like the general idea, but some things need clearing up and a few potential issues: (TLDR at the bottom if it looks too long)

Passive just seems like a slower combination of lux and ashe.

She seems too similar to Senna currently, with the idea of the Remnants boosting an ultimate Q appears to be pretty much useless, creating an enemy is never a good idea unless you are miles ahead of your opponent, being able to efficiently clear the camp relies on having smite, which means she is basically locked into smite/flash no matter what, unless she is support which then forces her adc to take smite.

2 of her abilities have a stupidly long cooldown. at level 3 she has a 30 second cd on 2 of her abilities, one of which makes the other basically irrelevant.

Having 3 total uses on an ultimate is most likely more unfun than Kayle or Akali. Sure it rewards the best of plays and can end a game. but thats the issue. Its either game ending or useless. Her ultimate is a win condition entirely in itself, similar to "get Kayle to 16" and after those 3 uses are gone, she is worse than a yuumi without an ally since loads of her power budget is in her ultimate.

IT basically turns the game into just forcing the worst ultimate out of Adrienna possible, because then she is pretty much useless.

So... May I make a few suggestions for the champion?

Id get rid of the Remnants, a dark magic, female mage based on collecting "Remnants" is just a Senna rework.

Trying to keep the idea of a void witch, how about something like this:

Passive: Scrap it and create something unique (no offence)

Void's Call. Every 10/7/5 seconds, Adrienna draws a potion from her voidgate With 3 possible potions, each with different effects. Her next auto attack will throw the potion. Null: The targets next spell costs double the mana. Revoke: The targets next auto attack will miss. Chasm: The target has reduced vision for some time

This really focuses on the awesome mix of a void witch, using potions to cause chaos on enemies.

As I said, Q has little benefit for its long CD, it destroysd remnants, which is like nasus losing stacks. Lets keep the idea of a portal summoning things though

Abyssal Portal 10/9/8/7/6 seconds cd 70 mana cost Adrianna manipulates her voidgate, making it expand at a targetted location. After 2 seconds, it snapps closed and returns to her, any enemy in the portal when it closes is dealt magic damage and an imp is summoned from the portal when it returns. Imps are weak summons that will dive after the enemy that summoned it. stats: **health:**150/200/250/300/350 + 0.2 AP Damage: (magic damage) 60/65/70/75/80 + 0.1AP **Attack Speed:**1

Since Q is changed, W has to change also. Lets try make it interract with her ultimate, keeping some form of Remnant idea.

Wrath of Darkness Passive: Attacking an enemy that an imp is attacking will reduce their magic resist by 5/7/9/11/13 Active: 7/6.5/6/5.5/5 seconds cd 50 mana cost Adrianna channels her portal for the next 2 seconds. Any incoming magic damage and physical damage will be absorbed by the portal, When the duration ends, 60% of that damage +0.4AP will be dealt to random nearby targets from the portal spread between the amount of unique damage sources. (similar targetting and animations to kai sa Q) Each unique damage source from a champion/epic monster will grant her 1 soul gem each cast. She can move but not attack or cast spells while channelling.

This adds alot of skill expression to Adrianna, since to deal high damage with this, she will have to take high damage herself, then position correctly to focus the target enemies. The soul gems replace remnants

Not onto E, which I have no issues with, a simple CC spell is enough, but with the removal of Remnants it needs a slight change.

Call of the dark 18/16/14/12/10 second cd 80 mana cost across all ranks Adrianna jumps into her portal, which goes to a targetted destination while releasing void essence that knocks up and damaged enemies, then Adrianna returns once the portal reaches its location.

You cant give a person a portal and not have her jump into it. The mobility also gives her safety needed to be able to utilize her W fully.

now for the ultimate. Since it was based off remnants empowering it, lets use those Soul Gems she collected from her W instead.

Darkness Demands 120/100/80 sec CD 0 mana cost Passive: Wrath of Darkness gives 2/3/4 Soul Gems rather than 1 Active: Adrianna consumes all the soul gems she has gathered to unhinge her portal for 3/4/5 seconds. The void then bursts out around her, dealing high damage each second to enemies in an area based on how many souls she has gathered.

This makes her ultimate still have a massive impact in teamfights while having a long recharge time beyond just cooldowns.

TLDR: A few of her abilities are very much flat out win/lose. Her Q and R rely on perfect scenarios and can win or lose a game alone. She is completely useless if the game goes past her 3 ultimates, which makes it the attention of the entire game, which will suck for one side depending on how good the player is. Having 2 abilities that rely on eachother and then nullify eachother isnt very fun.
