Proposed Vladimir Rework

Mid-Year Mage Update

In light of the current Mid Year Mage Update, I figured I might as well get give my 2 cents.

Vladimir in my opinion has a very cool concept but his kit currently lacks any relation to his awesome theme. Vladimir is currently not the strongest, but does a lot or nothing depending if he is fed.

The main issues with his kit currently is he is mainly targeted while being extremely safe with "Sanguine Pool" and just is kinda boring to play with an ult that can do a ton of damage if he is fed and the team does not have an advantage.

The main inspiration I had was from the Blood Mage Class in Dungeons and Dragons.

Below is the kit I am proposing as an AOE DOT initiation mage:

Passive - Blood Letting (Think Noc Q and Brand Passive) Vladimir's abilities cause enemy champions and neutral monsters to bleed for X magic damage and to leave behind a blood trail over X time. Blood trails give Vladimir increased movement speed by X% when he is moving on a blood trail and blood trails interact with Vladimir's abilities.

Q- Blood Transfusion (Think ult'd Karma W but without the snare)__(or keep his regular Q but rename it Siphon Life) Vladimir bond's with an enemy or neutral monster dealing an initial X damage. When a champion is afflicted with Blood Transfusion, Vladimir creates a bond with the champion draining their blood dealing X damage and healing Vladimir for X over X time. Vladimir is healed X% more and the bonded champion is dealt X% more damage while Vladimir is on a blood trail. A champion may break this bond by moving away or if Vlad goes into his Sanguine Pool.

W- Sanguine Pool(Still the same but gives a bit more reason to use it offensively) Vladimir sinks into a pool of blood becoming invulnerable doing X magic damage and healing for X% damage dealt for X time. He may reactivate this ability early. When Vladimir comes out of his pool he does X magic damage. Vladimir's pool and burst radius increases if he is on a blood trail.

E- Crimson Spear / Ichor Spikes Vladimir sends out a spear of blood dealing X magic damage to all enemies in it's path. Vladimir may reactivate this ability in X time. When reactivated, blood trails burst with blood spikes dealing X magic damage rooting all enemies caught in the spikes for X time.

R- Ritual: Infuse Vladimir channels for a short time, then blinks himself inside of an ally champion or enemy champion becoming invulnerable. If Vladimir infuses inside with an ally the time spent inside is X time. If Vladimir infuses inside with an enemy it does X magic damage and the invulnerability time is reduced to X time. When Vladimir burst out of his target he does X magic damage around the target, if the target was an enemy champion, it suffers an additional X% total health damage.

or (Either of these ults could be interesting)

R - Lacerate Vladimir lashes his blood out in a target direction dealing X magic damage to all enemies. All enemies hit bleed profusely and moving causes them to take X magic damage for every X units, this debuff can't reduce the enemies health below X% total health and lasts X time. Enemies are also slowed for X% while Vladimir is on a blood trail.

Feel free to break this kit down as to why it OP or under-powered. Give suggestions of a different ability that could go with this kit. I'm interested to see what you all think.

Lol most of the abilities, that you list are taken from other champions. His kit as of right now is fine. If it ever needed to be change, it would certainly be better than this.

What i like:

Q: Forces Vladimir to do a bit more than just brainlessly use Q everytime it's off CD. It forces him to commit to a trade. However it would take a good amount of time to get used to it. W: Same spell, good spell. E: Makes for a good harrass tool and/or waveclear spell. But i would remove the root, Vladimir has no need of CC.

What i don't like:

Passive: I dislike it for no direkt gameplay reason, it's merely a matter of taste. I dislike bleeding passives and i don't think that something like a blood trail similar to nocturnes Q would be a) easy to balance when it's applicable on any ability and b) something that Vladimir needs for his gameplay.

R Ritual - Infuse: I see what you are trying to archieve but for a high damage and high sustain mage it would be very bad if he had 2 invulnerability spells in his kit. To give you perspective: Fioras old ult got deleted for the reason of low counterplay. Also i can understand why you would have an ally cast (Sounds like a good addition to the infamous Orianna Ball delivery combo) but i don't think that Vladimir needs this to get into a fight.

Personally i would put him into the Juggernaut category and this class is defined by high damage, high sustain, low mobility and no CC.

R Lacerate: Bloodseeker ult, straight up :P At least the ult has the damage capped so you can't effectively kill yourself if you don't know what the ult does but this ult hyper-synergizes with Liandry's Torment which will shred the target much faster than normal.

It is definitely an interesting approach but not one i would completely approve (which has something to do with the fact that i made my own version of a rework but that is not the topic here). TL;DR: Not bad but not my taste :D
