Hello everyone! I've been wanting to practice my design and writing skills so I thought I would challenge myself to making a new champion every week. The idea is to take an already existing character, and see what they would be like in the world of League of Legends.

Without further ado:

Rincewind is a fictional character appearing in several of the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett. He is a failed student at the Unseen University for wizards in Ankh-Morpork, and is often described by scholars as "the magical equivalent to the number zero". He spends just about all of his time running away from various bands of people who want to kill him for various reasons. The fact that he's still alive and running is explained in that although he was born with a wizard's spirit, he has the body of a long-distance sprinter. Rincewind is also reputed for being able to solve minor problems by turning them into major disasters. His unique "skill" is implied to be due to being the chosen one of "The Lady", the anthropomorphic personification of luck (both good and bad). - Wikipedia

Rincewind first and foremost is a coward. "Rincewind is ... firmly convinced that there are no causes worth dying for. As he sees it, you can pick up another five causes on any street corner, but you only have one life." - http://wiki.lspace.org/ Since he's first and foremost about keeping his hiney safe, and is a selfish character. I believe personality wise, he is fit for a Marksman, or Mage role, but unfortunately (or fortunately?), Rincewind is famous for having little-to-no magic.

I believe that like Ezreal was designed with skillshots in mind, Rincewind will be a champion consisting of mostly passives to keep him safe, healthy, and naturally slippery. In exchange for being very very very safe, he has a hard time getting into fights, and needs to rely on others to disengage when his ultimate is not available.

##Key Information:

  • Has no MP
  • Movement Speed: 335
  • Attack Range: 550
  • Stats and growth is similar to Ash.

##Passive: Archtypical Coward

  • Rincewind gains 10 movement speed when moving away from each nearby visible enemy champion, but loses 5 movement speed when moving towards them

As the worlds greatest coward Rincewind excels at getting away, but not so much at approaching a teamfight or chasing others. I believe that it is interesting that the character itself is fighting the player approaching enemies and hopefully a well defined weakness for the strength.

##Q: Fortune's Favoured

  • Whenever Rincewind's deals a critical strike, an additional 20/40/60/80/100% is magical damage.
  • Rincewind gains 10/15/20/25/30% bonus critical strike chance.
  • When Rincewind suffers a critical strike, he suffers an additional 10/30/50/70/100 magical damage.

Rincewind is lucky, as in improbable things happen at him and all those that surround him. This also helps cement his ability as a marksman, giving him the ability to fight resistances on multiple fronts.

##W: Disastrous Aura

  • Death literally follows Rincewind's wake, causing Rincewind to emit a 550px aura that reduces enemies magic and physical resistance by 5/10/15/20/25

I wanted some passive that reflected his flirtatious relationship with death, and to also encourage him to be out of his comfort zone (as far away as possible from everyone).

##E: Emotional Luggage

  • Every 10/9/8/7/6 seconds, Rincewind gains the effect Locked and Luggaged.
  • _ Locked and Luggaged: On Rincewind's next basic attack or when he is struck by an enemy champion, his luggage companion charges towards the offending thing in a 700px line from Rincewind's position, applying on hit effects with a bonus (100% AD + 10/20/30/40/50% AP) physical damage to all intercepted._
  • The cooldown for Locked and Luggaged is reduced by 1 second every time Rincewind is attacked by an enemy champion.

Rincewind is never far from his luggage companion. I like the idea of it reacting to enemy attacks, and is an outlet for counter play since it allows popping it before Rincewind can take advantage of positioning the luggage.

It's speed would be a about as fast as Nami's Tsunami, width a width of 1.5 Teemos.

##R: Coward's Secret Art

  • _ 180/120/60 second cooldown _
  • Rincewind runs away from his current location to another target location up to 5.5/8/12 teemos away. This skill may be activated even while being stunned, snared, charmed, or taunted.

The ONLY active ability Rincewind has is to mostly GTFO from any scary engagement, but also can be used to fight his passive in case he decides that in the middle of the fight just happens to be the safest place at the moment.

This doesn't not protect against other forms of crowd control like Knockup, or Supression.

Alright so let me tell you something. I do like this little challenge of yours. I will be tuning in to see the next one. Though I will admit this guy does match his description kit wise. So good job!
