Since Supports, like myself, can not last hit (quote from Riot). Can we get targon's "smite" damage to minions display in the icon above the abilities like it does for smite?item 3097

Lol where is this quote where riot bans supports from last hitting? I highly doubt there is one.

Aren't there already a handful of items to give supports alternative sources of income beyond minion kills?

well in defense of riot it does say in the tool tip for the item of how low the creep has to be to used the execute in order to proc the passive of heal and gold share. and it increases as you upgrade the item from item 3302 which is 195 hp + 5 per lvl item 3097 200 hp +10 per lvl and finally item 3401 320 hp + 20 per lvl. the issues is no one actually clicks on the creep to see its hp amount they just look at the visual bar about the creep to determine when it would be time to last hit that creep. but using item 3302 to last hit isnt really last hitting its using the bonus damage from the execute passive to take a minion from 195 hp +5 per lvl so 200 at lvl 1 to zero. it is a passive, it dont work on all minions unless you have a charge for the passive.

however your traditional supports have bad auto attack animation and with the slow attack speed with that would make it more difficult to last hit compared with champs that are suppose to be last hitting. however ap mages typically have the same issue when they are trying to auto to last hit. partly because they dont have alot of base ad to be able to last hit a creep from a higher hp level. it does take practice and it is a skill to be able to last hit efficiently. all champs have different animation/attack speeds.

where i find the issue is a champ like Thresh who is consider melee but has a ranged auto attack, i seem to have an issue trying to proc the passive of item 3302 harder then compared to a champ like Leona , i get it im a baddie. im not good with Thresh even though id consider myself a support main. and i should play him more to get better. but you know sometimes a champ just dont fit what you do well as a player. maybe that is my issue with Thresh . but having a damage identifier so you know how much hp the creep needs to be down to effectively last hit it with the execute passive wouldnt solve the problem. the problem is you dont know the amount of hp unless you click on that creep and see its hp stats. where as a jungler knowing he can smite at 500 hp to execute he is watching the hp bar of the monster. also though the monster, drake, baron ect have a big HP bar above their head that shows it. that would be a mess if all lane creeps did it would take up so much space on the map and make it a clusterfuck.

so as a support player who uses item 3302 read the tip tool that tells you how much hp the creep can have to execute and right click on that creep whos hp bar looks low and wait for it to get in that range and then last hit. presto bango problem solvedo

i dont know if it executes at a % of the minions health or if the minion is under a certain amount. either way something like this should be added

I like this idea . Simple but effective Quality of Life fix.
