Project: Fiora Visor

Ok, so I love the new Fiora skin coming out. Everything about it is just incredible, so no, I'm not complaining about anything. One of the things that really caught my eye that I liked about the skin was that at the last moments of the recall, the visor pulled back revealing her face. I loved it, but it made me notice something. That skin has some genuine effort in giving her a good face. Her face in that skin is nice, but it's only revealed for the last few seconds of her recall.

I think it would be neat if her visor pulled back, revealing her face for both/either her taunt and joke, and/or it was toggable like NH rengar and NS Vi. Just spit balling, and seeing what everyone thinks. I love the skin regardless, and will definitely be instabuying it.

None of the PROJECt skins will have a toggle feature. (Sorry!) That said, PROJECT: Yi's voice processing does change when he is using Highlander.

I assume to do so would put the skin behind schedule for another patch just as NH Rengar was in order to implement it and then you guys couldn't release all the PROJECT skins at once and in a bundle?

That's correct. There's actually a lot of testing that goes into /toggle tech.

I assumed so. However, maybe keep this in mind for future PROJECT skins? As small as it may be, having the option to toggle a feature is a wonderful thing. I play with the hood up on NH Rengar. Glasses down on NS Vi. And mostly in Concussive for DJ Sona. Would've probably played visor set away for PROJECT Fiora if it was an option. But back to my point, consider it for future PROJECT skins. Just by showing us that she has a face underneth, leaves us wanting that option even though it is not available. Great skin however, defnitely makes me want to get better with this new Fiora.

But I do have two questions:

Why was it not implemented to exclude the visor for her emotes like PROJECT Yasuo does? and 2. About NS Vi, would it be possible to hook up her taunt lines when she interacts with her glasses? You guys have gone back and edited a skin (mecha kha'zix when released only had that "beep boop" joke but later was able to fully have humor) or would that be too much of an effort as you would need to rig not only the taunt lines but also the taunt animation with the toggle?

It's certainly not off the table for future skins for any thematic.

Based on her emotes, we didn't feel it was as significant, and didn't feel like the skin was less cool without it.

2. About NS Vi, would it be possible to hook up her taunt lines when she interacts with her glasses? You guys have gone back and edited a skin (mecha kha'zix when released only had that "beep boop" joke but later was able to fully have humor) or would that be too much of an effort as you would need to rig not only the taunt lines but also the taunt animation with the toggle?

We try as much as possible not to alter content since players have bought it, and changing something so someone else likes it, may cause another group of people to disagree. (I'm not sure why we changed the Mecha Kha'Zix - I wasn't at Riot at the time.)

It's a bit more complicated than a single hookup. The tech would need to be hooked up the animation, and changes like that also require testing to make sure nothing on the current skin have broken, or potentially other skins in a champion's catalog. At this time, it's not something we'd like to change about the skin.

Maybe sometime in the future should any group at Riot feel the same and have some spare time? Who knows, only time will tell. Again, great job with the skin. Just want to ask one other thing, since me and a friend were trying to figure out who the skin is based off of if anyone from MGS (he thinks someone from the B&B Unit, I think Mistral from Revenegnce)?
As I figured. Thank you. Just it's my pet peeve about the skin and not being able to taunt while only being able to interact with the shades. Kinda leaves the skin, unfinished in a feeling? But nevertheless, thank you for you time

As for who Fiora looks to be mostly based off of from the MGS series, honestly to me anyways, she looks a lot like a genderbent raiden with "fiora-like features" thrown in. I mean, Mistral was half French/half Algerian so obviously when I heard Fiora was getting a project skin I automatically assumed it would look like her, but honestly, I don't really see Mistral in Fiora's project skin, mostly I just see traits from Raiden.

this talk of editing a skin after release sparks a question, is it at all possible to add the toggle feature after release, in a few months or so. I'm already going to buy the skin, but with assets already there, it shouldn't be all too hard, right?

Katey, why does Leona never get a full helmet? PROJECT almost got her one but it still shows all her face. What's up with never giving Leona a full helmet like Yi or Yasuo's?

why not ship skin as is but in the meantime go ahead with implementing a toggle feature on the visor and ship it as an update to the skin later. Seems like something that should have been on the skin anyways and even if it come later i'm sure everyone would be pretty happy about it. One of those no rush things but would be a nice surprise a few patch's down the line. And add it to the other skins while were at it XD.
