I wonder how aware the champions in league truly are

I wonder how aware the champions in league of legends of themselves being controlled by anonymous entities, some seem completely aware of it , whilst others don't, I wonder if it's a thing of general knowledge, or something a select few have access to. Other times I wonder if the champions in league are fighting for something important, they all have such large backstories. I always wonder why they are fighting in some giant arena, what is their prize, do they have a choice in the matter? I got kinda bored and curious tbh.

While there are quite a few specific lines, I do think most champions are talking to whoever is controlling them, jhin is an outliar, a lot of what he says could be towards the enemy champion/whatever he is targeting (there is no beauty in a peaceful death, lots of humming to himself)

kindred also being an outliar since they are talking to eachother except when they ult / taunt in which case we can assume they are talking to enemy champs

there are probably a lot more (like kayn,kled,nunu) but those 2 are the most obvious to me and we all know/want to believe jhin = kindred

and then you have darius who acts as if he is taking orders from someone/acknowledging them "with overwhelming force"

None of the champions are aware of our world/Rioters if thats what your asking.

And the game isn't cannon. The arena we fight in has nothing to do with the lore. While Howling Abyss and Twisted Treeline are real places, SR is not.

They aren't aware of Summoners because they no longer exist. Lore team already stated not so long ago that Summoners Rift and the Concept of Summoners are no longer cannon, amd that Summoner's Rift as of right now is an unexisting area. For those who say Sona is ~ shut up don't stop me in a middle of the sentence, Sona says that because she was made at the time the concept of Summoners was conaidered cannon, which is another proof that Summomers aren't cannon and that Sona has outdated voice lines.
