Possible Solution to the Hextech crate and key problem

Would there be a way that would break the crafting system if you were able to combine a small amount of blue essesnce to either a key or a chest to get the other? Such as 1 key + 1500 blue essence will net you a crate that you would be able to open with another key. As there are plenty of people that have way too many keys such as myself with 8 and no chests or others have 6 chests but no keys. Just a thought to consider, let me know if I am crazy or not.[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
