Explanation _(skip forward for the main point if you're not interested)_ Considering the recent changes you have made recently Riot, I feel like assassins (most) are left out in the dark side of the rift... No not the void. Champions that were viable before like Talon or Zed are now much more difficult to play with, or at least carry with. I personally would know the difference, because I main Zed and still do, but I cant carry with him as well as I could from before the tank meta. Recently I also started to play Vi jungle with item 1415 , and noticed that the item 3931 and a maxed, Vi W would deal as much if not more damage than my main man Zed . This is bad! Assassins are the ones that are supposed to deal the burst of damage, and when you see a Vi engage with Q basic attack you, and E, she would already deal 30% if not more of your max health, regardless of what champ, or role you are playing. Sure you could argue that assassins like Rengar Leblanc AhriKhazix can melt you away like you are nothing, but thats without considering the hard CC like a stun, silence (which should be a mage and assassins move only), and displacements. Rengar can claw your face off if you are not careful, Leblanc can burst you down from 100 to 0 in literally 1 second, Ahri can destroy your team with a single Q if she feels like it, and Khazix ... Well he will just rip your guts out like any other assassin. I have been playing this game for over 5 years now, and it doesn't take long to notice that you want to make every champion unique. So far you have done an amazing job, but I feel like might need some help with creating an assassin suitable for this tank meta. I want to suggest my own assassin idea to you.

My Assassin idea (you should stop skipping text, this is my main point)

For this idea , I have thought about it for a long time. I want him to be sticky, so he is tough to peel, but to be an absolute savage at the same time. I thought that, with the current item changes and the crit chance increase, I want him to work off critical.

Before I begin explaining the abilities, I first want to mention that the champion is going to have a resource, but no costs.

Resource: "Blood lust" I would like the assassin to be able to gain:

  1. 5 points per basic attack
  2. 10 for a basic attack and a minion/ monster kill
  3. 10 for a basic attack with a critical strike
  4. 20 for a critical strike with a killing blow on a minion, or just any killing blow on a champion Starting the resources limit at probably about 30 points max, +30 per level, and ending at 540 at level 18

Passive: (On hit effect) For every critical the assassin gets, he will deal 5% max health damage. (attack damage) For a second critical in a row, he will deal another 5% max health damage.( attack damage) But for the third hit, I thought that dealing 5% true damage from max health would be suitable for the tank meta.

It not only encourages the used to buy items with critical, such as item 3031 , item 3046 and item 3508 , but it will also reward them for their "gambling". After assassin lands, I'm not sure if it should have a cool down, or if should just carry on as normal. (Considering the passive makes up to 15% damage from 3 crits in a row, it would be suitable if he had a timer for him to land a critical, and if the timer expires, a cool down kicks in, kind of like Yasuos E

Q ability (lock on ability) For this I thought that having a stacking mechanic like Kalistas rend, would be suitable.

Passive: The assassins basic attacks leave a knife in his target (champion and epic monsters only, ( I swear to god stay out of the jungle!)) This passive can stack up to 10 stacks maximum at ability rank,(5 at level 1) and each stacks damage can scale with an AD ratio. Active: The assassin dashes through his target quickly, (twice as quick as MasterYis Q hitting a single target) and lands behind them in melee range. Also pulling out any knifes from the target, dealing bonus damage. I would also like if this ability could crit at some point, I am thinking of a normal crit at 5 stacks, and 250% damage at 10 stacks. (If the ability does have a crit function then it also applies a stack of the passive, as well as gaining 10-20 blood lust from the ability.) I personally want this ability to be extremely fast to give very little time for users to react to it, not slow like a zed ultimate animation.

W ability (semi skill-shot)

For this ability, I want the assassin to throw out a dagger. If it hits a minion, and the minion doest die, the dagger stays in the minion for a few seconds. If the ability does hit the minion and kill it, the dagger will carry on its path, suffer no damage loss, and then either hit the ground, or get stuck in a champion.

The unique thing about this ability is that I figged of a creative way to make the assassin flexible. The dagger will get stabbed in the champion in the exact position it was stick in. For example lets say you hit a Cassiopeia in the face with it, she turns around and runs, but the you re-activate the ability and you end up right in front of her where the dagger is, making you vulnerable to her ultimate.

Another scenario is that you are fighting a Sejuani, but you are loosing. You start running towards your turret, but she throws out her ultimate in-front of you trying to block your way. You decide to play it safe and you use your Q on her ending up Behind her, and you throw out your W at her back side. You then carry on towards your turret, but she dives you, uses her dash towards you, but you then re-activate your W and you teleport behind her dealing damage, avoiding the dash, potentially killing her, and getting away from her.

The way the damage is decided is probably going to be like this:

  1. Flat damage+ passive ratio
  2. Flat damage+attack damage

At the end of the ability, that target only gets a temporary armour de-buff. Level 1 ability: 10% armour shred +1 level higher: +5% armour shred Level 5: 25% armour shred

E ability (passive+ on hit effect)

This ability is something like Aatroxs W, flat life-steal per hit, and attack speed buffs on active.

Passive: Plane life-steal at levels. I am thinking of something like 5 flat life-steal at level 1, gaining 5 per level ending at 25 life-steal per hit at level 5, (with no ratios what so ever)

Active: When the ability is activated, the assassin gains 20% attack speed at level 1, + 5% attack speed per level ending at 40% attack speed at level 5.

This ability synergies well with the Q passive, making stacking easy, as well as gathering the passive blood lust which is important for the ultimate thats up next.

R ability (Lock on)

This ability can be used both defensively and offensively.

Offensively: The assassin marks his target, dealing flat damage to them + AD ratio, and heals a flat amount+Blood lust ratio. This ability is champions only, and if the champion dies from the damage, the ability cooldown is reduced by 1/3.

Defensively: The assassin shields an ally for a flat amount, and heals them for a 1:1 ratio of the blood lust gathered. The assassin can also target himself, but he will only get the shield and half the heal (1:2 ratio)

Also if anyone that potentially see's this that works for riot games, please give me some feed back, or if you would rather create the idea I really don't want you to create the character without my knowing. I want to assist you in the creation. Nothing more.
