Customizable Champion Selection Tabs

I can say personally, there have been times where it's my turn to pick in ranked or in draft pick where I don't exactly know who I want to play in the lanes I am given. I know that my team might need one of a few things like wave clear, poke, or crowd control, but I can't figure out who to pick among the massive list of 125(?) champions in the game. I know I need to pick someone that fits the teams needs, and as the timer gets closer to 0, my inability to find a champion that fits my teams needs (and that I am comfortable playing) puts me in a rush to pick something that can just fill that lane, but in doing so it may not meet the teams overall composition needs.

So I had a pretty simple idea that I'm sure many could appreciate and would provide a more convenient way to chose the champions you want to play for any game.

Essentially, it is the addition of tabs to the champion selection page. Now I know this isn't revolutionary here, but I talked with a few friends about it and they all agreed that it would be pretty cool to be able to compile a list of the champions that separates them by what they primarily are (mage, assassin, marksman, etc) and also provide a way where we can favorite champions we like to play the most into a tab that would all be under the main options to chose your champion and your skin. I know this feature technically exists already via typing the type of champion you want in the search bar, but what I am suggesting is a set of tabs in champion select that YOU build yourself.

Essentially you would be able to include tabs that correspond to the types of champion they are similar to the search function but with the added functionality to customize that list. Such as a Mage tab, a Tank tab, an Assassin tab, and so on with the added ability to favorite any specific champion which would put them into your own "favorites" tab. I believe this would provide a comprehensive way to pick any specific champion that you might want to play based on the composition of the team you will be playing with, and provide quick access to the champions you love to play the most. Being able to access a tab of champions you personally designated as Tanks that you are comfortable playing, gives you a way to choose something beefy so that your team has someone to be the front line. This would allow for a smoother champion selection screen and would remove the stress of trying to search for a type of champion that fits that criteria you are looking to fill. Given the fact that the champion selection lobby will also be changing drastically to promote communication between team members in the early stages of the game, this small addition to that design could be the difference between a smooth lobby and a potential lobby disaster.
