2-D Fighter Character

Hey, all! Don't know if this was ever considered, but I thought League could use 2d fighter-esque character, with guards and combos! HP: 430 (+70), HP/5: 5.0 (+.5) Mana: 200 (+35), MP/5: 7 (+.4) Range: 175, AD: 46 (+3), AS: .6 (+3.25%) Arm: 16 (+5), Mr: 30

The Swordsage

  • Passive: Might and Magic- gains different abilities depending if his AP or AD is higher.

  • Q: (2 second cool-down, 30-45 Mana) -AP- Flame Strike: Stabs sword in the ground, causing a jet of flame to travel quickly in a line across the ground. Collides with first unit hit, dealing 30-80(+.1AP) magic damage, and after a second, dealing half of that in a small area of effect. Spell vamp applies to initial collision, not to AOE. -AD- Fury: AA reset. If used after taking damage, crits and regain %mana. **Note: AP Q roots player for travel of projectile (~1 second), which is Ez Q, but half the distance, and AOE is size of Karthus Q.

  • W: (30 Mana) -AP- Icy Empowerment:(10 Sec cool down) For 5 Seconds, gain (.05AP) Armor and MR, and AA's that hit you and attacks you make slow enemies by (10-25%). -AD- Intent: Gain 1 charge/20 seconds (static), Store up to 3 charges; Activation: Interrupts all other casts, for .25 seconds gain (20-100%) damage reduction. If you block damage successfully gain 2 charges. If melee attack is successfully blocked, stun for (.5 - 1.0) second.

  • E: (30-60 mana, 2 Second cool down) -AP- Lightning Blitz: Shen-esque dash, deals (.2AP) magic damage to units hit, same unit can't be hit more than once/3 seconds. Can not jump walls. -AD- Lucidity: 40-60% move speed for 1 second. If used while CC, cleanses but increases cool down dramatically.

  • R: (30% Current Mana, 30 Sec cool down) -AP- Earth's Rage: Channel your power through the earth, making a target area erupt with the fury of Gaia. HEAVY Area slow, Deals (5-15% of max mana) every .5 over 5 seconds second as long as you hold R. -AD- Egress: For 5 seconds, gain 20-40% Move Speed and Attack Speed, and 50% Tenacity, Intent's active increases to 1 second for the duration, with successful blocks extending duration of Egress for .5 seconds. up to a total of 10 seconds.

Discuss.

EDIT #1: Reduced damage, changed W.

EDIT #2: Clarify and re-write.

...T...this isn't balanced in the slightest. You took the strongest parts of Riven, Poppy, and Jax's kit and mashed it together. His Q CD is FAR too low, W would give him FAR too much defense for building damage, ESPECIALLY on a 5 second CD, his E gives him FAR too much mobility, and his R is just busted...utterly busted, not even POPPY gets this.

Ain't any worse than Udyr is. And you got to remember, at the MOST he has 1500 hp. Damage for some aspects is a bit high, but the IDEA was low cool down/low damage skills for quick succession.

The problem is you aren't being clear, is the Q just an empower next AA, or an AA reset, and at a 2 second CD...yeah, that is TOO much free damage, especially early. End game, while building pure AP, where having 400 to 500 AP is normal, that is 100 defenses...for building pure damage. His E you also need to be more clear on, can it go over walls, does it need to target, and not even Udyr's is that low. And his ultimate is beyond bust. SEVEN seconds of god mode...SEVEN...really? Sure you can still CC him...a tiny bit, but SEVEN seconds...that you can increase...busted.

I can see where clarity is not my forte. I'm not wording some things right. Lemme try to fix it.

Edited for damage reduction.

The kit is STILL too good and has the problem Yasou's had until the nerfs. "Well, you denied me early game, guess I lo- oh wait, got to mid to end game or my core item, GG."

Honestly, rebalance the character, and think about champions like Riven and Udyr who kind of fit the style you are thinking of, seriously, Riven is pretty much Marth from Smash Bros.

IT HAS BEEN DONE. THE REBALANCE IS REAL.

Ok, that is better, the window on the reflect AD W is a bit small, but now there is actual balance in the kit, especially with his R invincibility removed.

What it was supposed to be was the AD W lasted for 1 second. The first .25 seconds were the "invincibility frames", and last .75 were damage reduction, and then the Ult making the window for the invincibility frames the full 1 sec, not invincible for the full 10 seconds.

The idea is for low level players, once they get 'ok' at it, is to stand still and potentially block a karthus ult or a nasus Q, with HIGH level players able to do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBVdk1bFddk

If you don't know exactly what is going on in the vid, it's the world finals for SF3rd Strike in 2004. What happens is Ryu gets down to single digit HP, and then Chun Lee ults. Ryu then guard parries ALL 15 strikes, meaning he correctly times a perfect guard 15 times within 2 frames, each less than a tenth of a second apart to do NO damage, then come back and get the win. Had he not correctly timed even ONE, he would have taken 5 damage from executing an imperfect/regular guard and died, loosing the world championships. This video is considered the greatest and most technical event in competitive gaming history.
