EDIT: I misread, Morde VU won't be in 2 months, will be a little longer than that.. But, this doesn't take away from the main meaning of this thread.

RIOT. Take a look at this, please! Morde's VU is on the ~~horizon~~ (misread RIP the dream), and I found this. For the love of the Hue God, please consider this! Sadly, we have no idea if his VU is "on the horizon", so far this year they hope to get out Taric and Poppy, but they've not even mentioned Morde for a VU anytime soon, even though he deserves it.

I thought they went down a certain list in alphabetical order? That's what people said and I haven't looked into it, but if so it's likely that Morekaiser comes after Miss Fortune.

Eh, Fiora VU, and gameplay rework came out on PBE about 2 weeks ago, so.. I'm not entirely sure about that.

Would rather him not be a big, clunky armored lug, something sleeker would appeal to me much more

But he IS a giant armoured lug. The armour is like a tomb that's fused to his body. Making him sleeker would be like removing Garen's massive shoulder pads or giving Yi a bow. It's just not who they are.

The tiny helmet helps accentuate how large he really is. If you think about it, most giant characters have a disproportionally small head. Personally, I'd prefer him having some spooky green stuff showing so he looks more Shadow Isley. That's a word now.

He's a corrupted juggernaut made out of iron destroying everyone on his path with his enormous weapon. Making him sleek would completely ruin his personality and overall character.

he doesn't need to be overstated through size like Sion, making him tall and not as ridiculously fat wouldn't ruin his menacing appearance if done right

morde VU isn't gonna be anytime soon. Meddler talked about some ability changes and new VFX to go with them but the full VU probably won't be this year. Taric and Poppy probably will be.

less husky shoulders make him similar to his splash art, but make the armor and weapon more menacing. I do like the idea of a big ass mace tho

I'd say you can remove the big old armor spike and make him more symmetrical, but the mace having an inner flame and the scraps of black cloth are definitely good additions to his character.

i love it except that his ult reminds me of a darkin style weapon which could be a cool idea of turning morde into another sort of darkin perhaps

What about the theory that the Darkin are actually the living weapons and their bodies are just the human host? that could leave room for Mordekaiser to be a Darkin warrior that refused to relinquish his host's body after it died, leaving the Darkin immensely powerful but trapped in perpetual agony as the price for that power.

I always kinda envisioned morde as a victim of circumstance he does what he does not out of malicious intent but because he's looking for a way to break the curse that bound him to his armor so he can finally die and have his soul be put to rest. I like the proposed artwork but I'd take the flame effects out of the mace and give it and him more of hecarim's/thresh's ethereal look.

Indeed. I love morde, his current splash is alright not great but alright, what really needs to happen though is his model needs a change in the worst way.

On a side note though I wouldn't mind an ability update for him either. Nothing too big on his basic skills just maybe some cc like a fear or silence on siphon or something. His ult however doesn't really belong in the game. League isn't built for micro so having his ult be "micro intensive" just seems like a huge waste to me. Don't get me wrong it's a good spell and it's fun to cheese push with it, a banner and portal, but it's just so clunky.

Read a Red post on S@20, in about 2 months they'll be pushing Morde gameplay changes, and they're giving him a VU, along with a VFX. :D EDIT: Lied by accident. ;_; I misread.. Only Gameplay update, and VFX.

That's interesting, I was hoping to buy Mordekaiser soon.

Mordekaiser is an interesting champion with some issues like, if he gets ahead he can basically become immortal and instakill people to define the definition of 0 counterplay, but if he gets behind he's free kills. Still I think he's an awesome champion and very well designed and actually unique in a lot of ways to most champions.

You're right about the snowball, but.. Playing from behind depends on the player. You need to have a more defensive playstyle when behind, but.. Get him. He's the first champ I ever played, and got really good with. He's ****ing awesome. Pick him up; he's only going to get better. :)

The mace design is so epic.

Only thing I'd say is make his shoulders a touch narrower, make his legs a bit bigger, and make his mace a teeny bit smaller and he'd be perfect.

He shouldn't be this big. His chest and shoulders are way too large compared to the rest of the body, making the whole thing look uncouth. Plus his hammer thingy should be a bit thinner and more longer.
