What to do with Loot?

Recently more and more of friends have been playing League and have been having the time of their lives. Plus, the more they play, the better they're getting, which means more chests and loot for them to unlock and collect. Then I came across a thought, how and why is it that we cant GIFT our unwanted loot to a friend who could possibly benefit more out of it than myself?

I would really like some thoughts and support on this possible idea. Critiquing and POSITIVE feedback would be most appreciative. Maybe this idea can become a reality.
