"If there's a chance for me to learn what I really am while having a good time...I'm gonna TAKE it!"- Versiaz

                                     Lore:
Versiaz is a vastaya belonging to the Kiilash clan, although he is not a full blooded vastaya. His mother (Annaya)was human while his father (Solrik) was vastaya. This caused a whole string of problems, from his father being exiled, to his mother being murdered and his appearance being vastly different from other Kiilash members. After Annaya's death, Solrik fled to Ionia in hopes of raising him there. Unfortunately, he was attacked by a group of shadow men for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Wounded and with nowhere else to run, Solrik hid Versiaz (an infant at the time) in a small cave. Too heavily injured to realize he was drawn to the cave because of the strong magical presence, Solrik does all he can to lead his pursuers as far from the cave as possible. Praying that he would somehow live through the ordeal and return to his son, though not even an hour passes by before he succumbs to his wounds. Alone and cold in the cave, Versiaz begins to cry, the sound reaching the ears of a pair of wyverns. They had been out exploring with their hatchling at the time and they move in to investigate. The adult female, Marla, can tell right away that the infant is half vastaya and she explains to her mate, Kione, that it was most likely abandoned and left to die because of its human blood. Kione suggests they take the child under their wing, saying their daughter could use a play mate.
Years go by as Versiaz ages into a young man alongside his adoptive sister. When they both reach their seventh year of age, Kione and Marla allow the youngsters to go on their very first hunt. The mountains house dozens of different insects and animals but for their own safety, Kione leads them to a smaller forest home to rabbits with liquid water for tails. There, he watches them stalk their prey, correcting their form from his hiding place in the bushes. Versiaz is the first to pounce on one of the furry creatures but makes the mistake of grabbing at its tail. The tail bursts, startling him while the rabbit makes its escape. Kione is glad to see that the small failure doesn't ruin Versiaz's enthusiasm; if anything it makes him chase after the rabbits with newfound vigor. Enki, his older sister, is not far behind him, snapping and clawing at the bunnies, shaking her head with a giggle everytime she gets a mouthful of water. The day ends with them not catching a single rabbit but the fun they had keeps them happy well into the next day. This time Marla goes with them and suggests using magic to stun the cute animals. She demonstrates by creating a small cloud of smoke around two of the rabbits, disorienting them as she moves in for the kill. Once again, Versiaz is the first to try and he goes for creating a smoke cloud of his own. It works, but Marla can see it's no where near as large as it should be for his age. Her concerns are further proven correct when Enki is able to create smog twice as large as his and Marla begins to wonder if Versiaz's human blood is muddling the magic of his vastayan blood. She doesn't give that thought voice and instead helps her children hone their physical skills, giving shorter magic lessons at the end of each day.
On his 13th birthday, his father crafts him a pair of 6 bladed chakrams that delight Versiaz to no end. He then spends the rest of the day and most of the night creating his own fighting style with the new weapons, unaware that Kione is watching him hack and slash at tree trunks, boulders and the stray animal or two too slow to escape his antics. His father even catches the moment Versiaz accidentally leaps off a cliff, determined to slice a butterfly in half. Luckily there were plenty of trees and branches to break his fall and he returns home covered in bruises. Over the next few days, Versiaz continues to practice with his chakrams. He even adds his magic to them, learning that if he bends the right amount of wind he can make them travel much further or even curve in mid air to hit a different target. Marla is delighted to see this development, knowing that it will help Versiaz even out the playing field if he were to ever fight someone.
Although, as Versiaz gets older he begins to inquire about his true parents and how he ended up in the care of the wyverns. They are innocent questions with no hint of him wanting to return to a family he never knew but Kione and Marla have no answers for him. All they can tell him is that he is of vastayan and human blood; that his true parents were either dead or didn't want to keep him. The thought ignites a fire in Versiaz's soul and he tells them that he wants to go on a quest to find his parents or atleast others like him. He was determined to find somone that could help him fully understand what he truly was. Even if it was just simple curiosity, it was a powerful one and his parents didn't know how to react. None of them expect Enki to bar his path saying him journeying out alone could be too dangerous. They bicker and argue for two minutes before Kione intervenes to tell Enki that she could always go with Versiaz. After all, with the two of them together they should have no problems venturing out and it was high time Enki left the nest to see the world. Marla also lets them now that they can return at any moment if they were to get tired or homesick and that seems to diffuse Enki's overprotective mood. So, with Enki by his side and their parents's blessings, Versiaz sets off on the journey to discover himself, starting with the cave where he was found as an infant.

He then furiously pats the away, bending to rest his palms on his knees soon after. LAUGH- Versiaz's laugh starts off as a giggle before it turns into a full blown boyish laughter (think classic anime pre teen boy). APPEARANCE: Versiaz looks to be in his late teens or early twenties with light brown skin, pointed ears and a long black lion-like tail that is about as long as he is tall. His hair is relatively short and has the spiky, tangled, messy look of someone with bed head; it's a shade lighter than black but not quite grey. He has yellow eyes with cat-like pupils. Tufts of black fur on his elbows, heels and earlobes. His clothing consists of slightly baggy grey pants, light brown strapped footwear similar to kid icarus's sandals. His pants have two brown belts strapped in a criss cross formation over them as if to make them tighter. He wears a grey furred button up, sleeveless vest that has a relatively low v-cut. The white colored fur is on the shoulder portions and down the sides of his vest. His chakrams are a mix of blue, white and yellow; they are a basic circle shape with four bars in the middle for gripping. They have six blades on them, all of them curving in a fashion similar to sharigan. The blades are white, the bars are yellow and the rest of the charkrams are varying shades of blue. Enki is about the size of Shyvanna's dragon form although her tail is shorter than her body. Her wing span is larger than her body and her wings have clawed hands on the ends closest to her body, positioned in a way that she can fully use her hands when the wing membrane is folded. These claws have five fingers, complete with an opposable thumb. Her tail has four spines- two on each side- that curve out to the tip. Her hind legs are similar to a dinosaur's as they have four talons for the toes and one more talon on the back of her foot. Enki has a typical dragon head equipped with a frill that fans horizontally along her head similar to a frilled lizard. She also has long whiskers on the end of her snout. Enki's body is colored a dark red, the membranes on her wings are peachy, her talons and tail spines are silver and the membrane on her frill along with her belly is also a peach color.

                 Short story- Behemoth:
Versiaz hid in the bush, his tail trembling with excitement. The beast had no idea he was stalking it, watching it rip chunks of bark off trees as easily as one would rip flower petals. It was nearly three times his size, covered in short dark brown fur, four powerful legs ending in paws with four short claws. It had the head of a bear, the body of an oversized yak and the teeth of a beaver. The beast's head came equiped with three horns, two on its forehead and one on its nose; all three were long enough to gouge a hole through the entirety of Versiaz's body. The only unimpressive part of its body was the tail, a short stubby thing that Versiaz felt served no real purpose. The beast moves on to tear at another tree, Versiaz not far behind it. He had to be as silent as possible. The minute the creature known as a behemoth discovers his presence, it would put all of its effort into killing him. Even knowing this, Versiaz wasn't afraid; if anything it was making him all the more excited and he chances a glance at the leafy canopy above. Enki meets his gaze from her hiding spot and he grins at her. If anything were to go wrong, she would swoop down and eviscerate the behemoth. It was larger than her as well but it did not have the advantage of flight on its side as Enki did.
Versiaz moves in ever closer, traveling in a slow circle around the beast. He needed to find a weak spot, an area with thin skin that he could slice to draw blood from. The beast needed to bleed to death; Versiaz knew he would never overpower it with strength alone. Then his hand snaps a hidden twig in half. All too quickly the behemoth turns its beady eyes in his direction, half chewed bark falling from its mouth. He doesn't bother remaining in his hiding spot, the beast was already charging at him even before he sprints away. Behemoth are fast animals and Versiaz sees it coming in for another charge after the first failed. This time he stands his ground, the words of his father play back in his mind. For all their size and speed, a behemoth is not very smart. Stand your ground and leap above it at the last second. Make sure to get at its back for the skin their is easy to penetrate and contains many blood vessels. The beast is almost upon him now and that's when Versiaz leaps. It's only when he's in mid air that he realizes his mistake. Miscalculating their difference in height, the behemoth's left horn nicks at his side and with a simple toss of its head, sends Versiaz spinning into the bushes. The behemoth gives a grunt of satisfaction and readies itself for another charge. Dizzy and disoriented, he can barely pull himself into a sitting position before he hears the pounding of the behemoth's feet.
Thankfully, Enki swoops down from her spot and claws at its face, successfully directing the beasts' attention to her. The distraction is enough for Versiaz to stand and he winces. He was going to have so many bruises after this. He unhooks his chakrams from their spot on his thighs and is surprised to see blood on one. There's a gash on his side where the horn nicked him and blood oozes from the tear in his vest. With adrenaline pumping in his veins, Versiaz is able to ignore the pain and he twirls his chakrams in his hands. He tosses his first at the behemoth, using his magic to alter its course and he smiles when it rakes the beasts face. While the beast growls, shaking itself off, Enki snatches the chakram out of the air and tosses it back to Versiaz. Once again, he fills it with magic and then the blades are dragging along the behemoth's spine. Blood runs from the wounds like red rivers but aside from a loud grunt, the pain doesn't seem to be fazing the behemoth at all. Versiaz expects this but what he doesn't expect is for the beast to suddenly put on an extra burst of speed when it charges, leaving him no time to leap away.
The next thing he knows Enki is slapping him away with her tail and he instinctively curls into a ball, his body rolling and smacking into a tree. Versiaz dusts himself off, his eyes focusing on Enki, watching her fire a mini volley of fireballs at the behemoth. The flames seem to be keeping it at bay for now and he retrieves his first chakram. Running over to Enki, he calls out just before hopping onto her back. She then lifts them both into the air and Versiaz begins channeling magic into a large sphere. Enki buys him time by restarting her fiery assault, the flames only seem to annoy the behemoth but it's all she needs to distract it. A few seconds later, Versiaz hurls the ball of magic down at the behemoth, the ball bursting into a shower of incandescent sparkles. The magic from the ball leaves the beast completely dazed and confused, it stumbles about bumping into the surrounding trees and snorting. Versiaz and Enki share a smile before she lands, letting him off her back. She sits back to watch Versiaz finish the creature off, hacking at its legs. Darting around it to slash at its side, the blood from his assault beginning to get on his clothing. Just as the magic is wearing off, Versiaz leaps onto its back and uses both his chakrams to sever its carotid artery. The behemoth stumbles for a few more seconds, blood gushing from its neck before it finally collapses. Versiaz is not far behind but his collapse is only from exhaustion and he leans back on the palms of his hands to catch his breath.
Enki noses his cheek before joining him on the grass. They take a short break of fifteen minutes to regain their strength before Enki works on butchering the behemoth. First she relieves it of its hide, handing it to Versiaz for him to cut into thinner strips that he then hangs on branches to dry a bit. Then she divides the meat into meal sized portions, leaving the organs for whatever other beast that mah wander in after they are gone. Versiaz wraps all but two portions of the meat in the strips of hide, tying them with thin pieces of tree bark. With that done, Enki sets to cooking the two pieces Versiaz left out with her flames. They enjoy their meal under the darkening sky, the gentle breeze playing with Versiaz's hair. The hunt was a rough one, he would have to bandage his wound before it got infected but for now Versiaz wanted to enjoy Enki's company and their meal. Days like this were the best in his opinion. There was just nothing like hunting down your own meals day by day and a creature of the behemoth's size would sustain them for atleast two weeks. And the little danger of being killed during a hunt never truly bothered Versiaz, as long as Enki was by his side the two of them could take on anything.
