Corsair Quinn - Valor Plumage

I am very happy Quinn is getting a new skin, I really enjoy the champion and her playstyle. However, I was very, very, dissapointed when I saw how Valor looked in the new skin. The splashart shows (to me at least) a nice orange plumage with bright blue at the tip of the feathers. Ingame, Valor's plumage is extremely dull and nothing like the splashart. The mix of bright orange and bright blue would have looked very, very cool. Please fix this Riot, I really would love the change. I understand some people believe that Valor was modeled after a different bird, not a macaw, for this skin. However, I would like for you to look at the splashart before voting. In the splashart, the bright orange and blue colors, and likeness to a macaw are undeniable. I added a picture of the macaw I think the design was based off of just to show the colors that would look reeeally cool for this pirate concept.

I agree, the splash art does make it look bright orange and blue, It would look very nice if they made this change. :D

Well they showed it off as being colourful in the splash. It's only fair it represents that ingame.

Yeah, I like the current in-game Valor but the splash art is a bit misleading.

I prefer the more muted colors and was happy thats what they went with. Valor is modeled after an Osprey (Sea Eagle) so he should not have the super bright colorings of a parrot. He was likely brightened up in the splash so that he would stand out more against the dark background. Plus I think that it is EXTREMELY RARE for Riot to make any changes to skins after they have been released (not counting reworks) and only do so when there is a huge problem. (Side note: I believe at the very end of the PBE cycle his colors were brightened a little to better match the splash, at least more so than when he was first shown. Perhaps this was their happy medium)

Valor is modeled after an Osprey???? If you look at the splashart, your gonna seriously tell me that the first bird that comes to mind is an Osprey?? 99% will agree Valor looks like a macaw in the splash. Are we colorblind? those colors are clearly orange and blue. As to riot changing skins, they changed the new Aatrox skin coloring. If they had shown an ugly dull bird in the splash, I would not have bought the skin thinking it was a macaw colored Valor. I'm not saying i want a refund, I just want them to match the ingame skin to what they promised in the splashart.

In the bugs and feedback thread for the skin the dev's state outright that Valor's model is based on an Osprey. And Aatrox was changed while he was still on the PBE and not released yet which is very common. I said that they dont change skins once they are RELEASED, so you further proved my point.

You never answered my question. When you look at the splashart, whats the bird that comes to mind? hmm? an Osprey? Orange and blue ospreys must be pretty rare, specially with those extra plumes coming from on top of Valor's head. Link to orange and blue osprey plz.

Why are you acting as if he designed the skin. Riot said it was based on an osprey, he's just relaying that information to you. Doesn't mean he thinks the bird in the splash looks like one.

The whole thread is about changing Valor's colors to look like those of a macaw. Why? Because that's what it looks like in the splashart, I'm asking him what the bird in the splashart looks like. All I want if for the skin to match the splashart.

I hope Riot will eventually see this thread and do something. They spent so much time on Debonair Galio, they even changed Aatrox. But they give us this pale, faded version of Valor. This was a great disappointment for me. I was going to buy that skin even though I already have Woad Scout Quinn. The idea is so great, splash art is fascinating, Quinn looks amazing. But Valor literally ruins everything. I am very upset about it. Dear Riot, don't leave it like that, please.

I dunno, the current look fits the muted Bilgewater colors pretty well. Besides, that's not a parrot, it's an osprey aka fish hawk. Perfect for the skin. Phoenix has bright colors pretty much covered. She's not exactly a pirate captain here, so I don't see why she needs crazy bright colors.

I'd prefer Riot give us a 'random skin' button so when I can't decide what Quinn skin to use I can just choose that, but I can get behind this too.

Honestly, I really like the darker/duller colors of the actual model, but I would support changing the colors to be brighter because I'm absolutely sick of Riot's habit of lying to us through splash arts.

Yes. Riot f#cked up not making Valor a Parrot. Quinn mains, me among them, have been asking for a Pirate/Bilgewater Quinn skin SINCE RELEASE because we want Valor to be a Parrot.

My account is QUITE LITERALLY named after my Parrot.

I'd like to see something brighter. Phoenix is good. Wood is terrible. Corsair is decent I guess. Kinda middle of the road, bordering on dull.

How is woad terrible? It's the one of the best skins in the game for 975 imo. phoenix is the terrible one. It looks worse than the base skin cause it was rushed af
