Cosplay Thoughts - Dark Star Thresh?

I am going to be building a cosplay of Dark Star Thresh, as my favorite skin on my favorite champion. From any cosplayers, do you have any tips or ideas for any part of the process?

1. The Hook. Dense foam with a PVC pipe support structure underneath.
2. The Chains. Painted PVC pipe pieces (for the individual chains), purple string (aesthetics), and a rope underneath (for actually holding weight). Connected to hook.
3. The Armor. Probably more carved foam.
4. The Face. This I have no idea how I am going to do, maybe more foam around my head with an opening for vision, the tendrils supported by bent PVC pipe.
5. The Lantern. I can imagine that it would be a simple Styrofoam ball with details, suspended from a glove with fishing line (for the 'floating' effect of the Dark Star)
6. The Cape. Some sort of fabric, not sure what kind or how.
7. The Insignia. On the face, the golden floating V.
8. The Lighting. LED lighting in the back of the armor, glowing purple onto some cotton for the galaxy effect.

Any suggestions for how to accomplish any of the above, including the actual design aspect, would be greatly appreciated. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
