I went to school for this shit..

I'm not trying to put out anything crazy or fancy..

This is my hobby.

I've got projects I've done 20+ years of technical design on.. I've got projects that are just barely fleshed out.

I'm doing this for fun, not profit..

I'm not really looking for people in the IDEAS department.. We all have them.. This field is full of dreamers..

Dreamers that often don't know how to write a technical document.

but it would be a huge help for people that are content creators.. especially Programmers, to jump on board.

I've been dicking around in the Unreal development Engine mostly, but some of my ideas are flexible..

I've probably used any game engine you can name.

I'd love to meet someone that knew Unreal Script and was good with C or a decent programing language.. I'm good with pseudocode.. but havent really been able to pick one up..

My skills?

I do 3D and 2D art, Music and Audio production, and creative and technical writing.

I'd be willing to bring the right person into my pet project down the road.. but for now.. I just want to throw together some simple games and increase my skill level in the areas I'm good at.

I can make browser games in html5 and javascript. I can work with xml and some SQL for back-end data/engine stuff. I am certified in java development but I am rusty at it. Java syntax is somewhat similar to C++ so I can probably pick that up pretty efficiently. I used to play a lot with game modding and creating scenarios with trigger-based editors. I don't have a lot of free time however, as I am already employed full time as a professional web developer and programmer. I also am not sure if I would want to join a project with people that I don't know in real life, but I'd be willing to chat and bounce ideas to see if we hit it off.

sorry it took so long to get back.. I quit league for a minute and actually have been doing game design stuff.

I just finished the world map for my main project and I have it "finished" in 3D but I'm still playing around with the scaling. I'm still experimenting with it, and I'm seeing things I'm not so happy with.. mainly the spacing of the world and the scale. So I've been making adjustments - whole lot of trial and error.

I'm not looking to make money, it is mostly just a hobby that if I ever finish would be decently lucrative. I've been doing DEV Dairies and i'm gaining some momentum with the amount of people excited to try it out.

I'm def down to try and throw together some smaller projects in our free time to see how things click, that way there is no major investment in Amaranth.

Anyone coming into that project - I'd require some basic non-disclosure agreements because I've put 20 some years into it - something I'm not willing to hand over - I learned a long time ago to do things like that because I watched an entire album I produced get stolen when the bass player I brought in for it decided he was better than us and took our material and recorded it and put it out for his own band.

I can listen to music I wrote on the radio, even hear my original piano recordings in it, my vocals as well, and nothing I can do about it because he had "creative participation" and we never formed agreements.

Anyway, yeah like I said it is more for fun/hobby so anyone wanting to work with me should understand I'm not doing this to make profit, although I'm not closed off to the idea if everything is going great and people want to play the games.

I'd really like to get some 3D versions of some old school games out, maybe put an unique twist on them. Something that looks good in a portfolio and generates some buzz.

I wouldn't mind to maybe do some multiplayer versions of games like centipede, asteroids, and all that really fun shit from the 80's -90's
