I have this idea for a champion that would be able to steal other champion's abilities. I did not work on it (if someone wants to imagine the spells it would be fun) but i think it's a good idea and my friend thinks it sucks What do you guys think ?
It would be nice but it should be like and R ability and u can only steal other r abilities just from enemies . and should have like a passive effect on it too , and long cd ^^
depends on what it steals if it was shiffting sands from azir it would be useless or a couger form attack off of nid or a spider attack off of elise but other than that it sounds like fun but his/her positon would not have a main
Your friend is right. This is an idea that gets suggested a lot and it will almost definitely never, ever be implemented into league.
Simply put imagine this scenario: You walk up to a Lux. You think 'oh I can dodge her ult no problem!' then suddenly she suppresses you with a Malz ult. You had absolutely no idea that was going to happen because literally EVERY OTHER CHAMP has only 1 set of abilities that don't change.
Not to mention the animation nightmare that would exist in having a champ who can cast any other champions abilities. Seriously, imagine say Rumble being animated to sue Renekton's Slice and Dice. It would look like a mess.
I think stealing single abilities doesn't work,but I think imitating a different champion would be ok,but still a nightmare to balance(how would you build someone like that?Or do they copy the stats/items as well?)
Does he pull out Jayce's cannon to use his Q?
Only thing I can think of is similar to Sated's pet. Where it's just a copy of the users attack. But Sated just has to load that champions copy. This champion would have to have a copy of every ability in the game on top of his own.
I don't think there's a possible way to balance this either. There's too much variation.
