So I made this up with a friend just for fun. We were trying to come up with a Support champ who revolved around Vision and Vision denial. All ranges are just random numbers thrown out there, and no idea what the damage values would be.

Feedback is welcome XD

Vision Based Support Champ

Passive: Furthest enemy champion has an indicator on minimap (but no vision granted; dynamically updates)

Q: Active: Ground targeted, linear skillshot: Consume a Ward Charge to launch a ward towards a target location stopping at the first enemy champion hit, and dealing damage to all enemies it passes through. (800 range) Passive: Reveals enemy wards within 250 range. Destroying enemy wards grants a Ward Charge. Passively store 1 ward charge ward every 90 / 60 / 30 seconds.

W: Places a consumable charge on an allied ward that allows an allied champ to dash to the ward within 600 / 625 / 650 / 700 / 725 range. Increased ability rank allows for more charges to be placed on a given ward.

E: Converts an allied ward into a trap with 550 range, that slows enemies in the area (think Swain Q)

R: Reveals all enemy wards & traps for 30 / 60 / 90 seconds; disables enemy wards and traps for 15 / 30 / 45 seconds.

The potential for a vision-based Support champion is huge. I've worked on two concepts myself: an Oracle and a Thief.

The issue I have with your kit, that I see with many vision-based kits, is that you don't take the idea of vision far enough.

Most kits don't really get outside of the box: they make the vision abilities conjure wards, or make the abilities manipulate or revolve around wards, and generally never go beyond the circular AoE of sight that defines wards.

Think about it, with the variety in skillshots and AoE effects in League, are these not applicable to vision? The way vision is manifested is hugely important for creating a unique and enjoyable experience.

To give you an example: there is a world of difference between Kalista's Sentinels and your standard Stealth Ward. The one is visible, has a limited field-of-sight in a visible cone, with a regular movement pattern. The other is static, can't be seen, and it's field-of-sight can only be guesstimated. Kali's Sentinel allows a player to dodge it - avoiding it entirely. This is an example of true stealth gameplay. Wards, as they currently and have always existed, don't enable the same sort of gameplay - how can you avoid something you can't see with an unknown position?

It really surprised me that Kali's Sentinel is the only instance of a conic AoE of sight in the game. No one has ever complained about them being overpowered, but they're possibly the best form of vision in the game, for gameplay purposes.
