a game like league is complex. so many balance issues. everyone wants their mains to be strong while anything they doe to to get gutted. lets try starting a chain/train of thought and attempt to have a biased free discussion. ex1) u have the adc. the long range fighter whos main form of damage is long range auto attacks. to keep this simple lets go with a swordsman to oppose this champion. how do we make i fair? if the adc has range advantage, how do me make it fair for the swordsman? common sense is to make it so the swordsman gets rewarded for catching up to the adc. that doesnt more damage against the adc, but some kind of reward. also, should the swordsman have the tools available to him to catch the adc? or should he need help from his teammates? lrespond with ur answers and post ur own questions and have someone else answer. remember , dont get too detailed. this is just to have an idea of how riot has to tackle issues games like league provide.
