Brand Brand is one of my mains. He is exceptional. I have a proposition for the community and alike. I have come across something that has struck me and motivated me. It is something called the Haka. It is an ancient provocative dance designed to get the leader to get his fighters ready as worriers. The links i will show you are from a Rugby team and New Zealand armed forces. The first one you should watch is the one honoring a fallen comrade (New Zealand). This will give you chills no matter what race and what country you are from. (i will explain what the Haka is) Source:(Kamate Kamate Words)

"The haka Ka Mate was composed by the famous Ngati Toa chief Te Rauparaha. Te Rauparaha descended from Hoturoa, who was born in the 1760's at Kawhia and was captain of the Tainui canoe.

During a period of imminent conflict against the powerful Waikato and Ngati Maniapoto iwi, Te Rauparaha journeyed from Kawhia to seek alliances with other tribal groups, one of those being Tuwharetoa who lived in the Lake Taupo region.

When he arrived at Te Rapa, which is located near Tokaanu he was told by Te Heuheu, the Paramount Chief of Tuwharetoa that he was being pursued by a war party from Ngati Te Aho, who wanted revenge for a previous incident involving Ngati Toa.

Te Heuheu directed Te Rauparaha to go to Lake Rotoaira to seek the protection of his relative Te Wharerangi.

At Lake Rotoaira, Te Wharerangi reluctantly agreed to assist Te Rauparaha and as the war party closed on their quarry guided by the incantations of their tohunga [scholar/priest] he instructed Te Rauparaha to climb into a kumara pit and for his wife, Te Rangikoaea to sit on top. By combining the spiritual qualities of a woman (“the Noa”) and of food, Te Wharerangi was able to weaken the tohunga’s power.

When the pursuers arrived, Te Rauparaha could feel the power of the incantations and is said to have muttered “Ka Mate! ka mate!” under his breath (Will I die!) and “Ka Ora! ka ora!” (or will I live!) when the Noa reduced the incantation’s effect. These lines were repeated many times coinciding with the waxing and waning of the tohunga’s power until eventually Ngati Te Aho were convinced by Te Wharerangi that Te Rauparaha had escaped towards Taranaki. It was then that he finally exclaimed “Ka ora, ka ora! Tenei te tangata puhuruhuru nana nei i tiki mai whakawhiti te ra!” (I live! I live! For it was indeed the wondrous power of a woman (“the Noa”) that fetched the sun and caused it to shine again!)

“Upane, kaupane”, means “to line up in abreast or in rows”, as one does to perform haka.

One could imagine his joy at not only eluding certain death by a mere whisker, but also coming out of the dark kumara pit into the light of day – “Whiti te ra! Hi!”"

Now you have the back ground. Now if you haven't done so watch the videos. Now the words. as the description says the haka has many forms but nevertheless the core is always the same** " Ka mate, ka mate! ka ora! ka ora! Will I die, Will I die

Ka mate! ka mate! ka ora! ka ora! Will I live, Will I live

Tēnei te tangata pūhuruhuru This is the hairy man

Nāna nei i tiki mai whakawhiti te rā Who brought the sun and caused it to shine

Ā, upane! ka upane! A step upward, another step upward!

Ā, upane, ka upane, whiti te ra A step upward, another... the Sun shines!**"

As you watch videos of this the leader pacing around you can hear him scream while everyone is silent. That is the leader of the Haka saying Get ready! Get Ready!.. and then the Haka is preformed.

By this point you are probably wandering why the Fizz is this guy telling me this? Why the summoner 7 does he want this on Brand? And couldn't it be on someone else that is closer to the culture? If you haven't came up with this conclusion yet, i would like this on brand as his dance! He is the a leader and could preform the whole dance by himself. To sum this up the dance is preformed to say as the leader these are my warriors. and i am the fierce one fear me. and everyone knows brand isn't the most soft and cuddly thing in the world of LoL.

Why? The voice of Brand is astonishing. and i like to use it to have a little fun when i am up in my games. His dance is kind of a warrior dance around his flame on the ground as most if not all of you know. That flame could still be there or not. You can what if this all day. I'm here to ask for thoughts opinions and encouragement. I do not have software to preform prototypes of this but i am sure someone does.

How will this work for lore? Well Brands' lore is described of how he was created. Kegan Rodhe to me was told that he discovered who he is today. However there is not such thing describing his past and/or culture. I believe if his lore needed an update because of the Haka dance, then it would be fairly easy. item 3285

Well if it interests you, Rengar's dance is the Haka, just without the spoken part.
