As of right now, I feel like these are two systems somewhat in need of a fix. Missions are almost nonexistent outside of events and having a place to slap First Win. Meanwhile, mastery is almost completely dependent on the in-game grading system, which has proven itself to be....less than reliable sometimes.

I proposing a semi-combination: Once you hit Mastery 5 with a champion, you get a mission line that will reward you with the necessary mastery tokens. These mission could be specific to each champion and track in-game stats (ex. Dealing damage as an assassin), or maybe even more complex things if that's possible (ex. Landing multiple spears in a row as Nidalee). A similar, but longer and harder, mission line would be available upon hitting Mastery 6.

Blue Essence would still be required to finish it out, or maybe more mastery tokens would be required in exchange for no BE. Hextech Chests would also still be available for getting S ranks, so there would still be an incentive to get S ranks.
