Skin Trading

P Duff··12 votes·1,021 views

As an avid League player, sometimes playing the same champion over and over again can be immensely boring, so in a tactic to counter that, one may purchase a skin. They make the game a lot more fun, but at one point or another, the skins that you have on your champion could be boring, or the champion could get a huge nerf, in which you may not play as well with that champion like you did before. BUT if we could trade skins, other people can give skins in which they don't want or need anymore to others, like trading in steam, making League, overall, a more enjoyable game to play.

It would be nice, I have alot of renekton skins (thanks mystery gift for giving me all but rune wars) and I never use them and wish I could just give them to someone.

I have the two skins from the RAF but I only use the Twitch one. Really wish I could trade the WW skin off. But I think since Riots only makes money (or at least the most of their money) through skins, I think maybe there should be a limit per month sorta thing. Personally, I feel like if it would affect Rito in a bad way, I would be 100% against this as much as I want it.

As said above, Riot could introduce an RP transaction thing where you have to use like 200 RP to trade, or they place a limit per month or free trades (one I think would be dandy) and Riot could add a thing in the store where you can reset the trade cd for RP

The bad thing about this is the possible creation of a skin black market where players will trade for in real life cash the skins they owned you know.

Right, that happens, the whole scamming thing, but people probably have already done it with the gifting of skins to another player (i.e. someone promises a paypal account to someone who bought them x,y, and z skins, then after they get the skins they delete them anyways without giving out the paypal account) so the whole scamming thing can't really be avoided, because there will be people there who are too new to the internet to realize that it is a scam. All Riot could really do would to warn people to make sure this isn't a scam.

No one would buy a skin again. There's someone, somewhere that would want X skin, and be willing to trade Y skin for it.

Right, but there could be a possible RP transaction for people who want to trade, or a limit which is reset like every month or so, and the only way to reset it earlier would be to buy it (like one would do with an extra rune page) with RP.
