Hey guys! I'm but a humble player from New Zealand on the OCE server. I sent a ticket in to Riot Support who suggested and I quote

My question was about Victorious Skins and my ticket said this,

"As we know each year around October the Victorious Champion is named and we get the skin for it if we've earned Gold + ranks. Just wanting to know, has it ever been thought to put all Victorious skins as an option and let the player decide for themselves?

For example, I only really started playing League end of Season 5 when Victorious Sivir was released, she was my first main and will always be my favourite ADC but am so gutted I'll never get her Victorious skin. So what I mean is, at the end of the season, has it been thought maybe put up each Victorious skin and let the player choose what they want? (so maybe have them all and let someone choose Sivir or Elise etc).

It feels like it would be more rewarding to be able to choose which champion we would like a Victorious skin with. I am grateful for getting a free Maokai skin, but I never play him unless it's aram and I have no rerolls (so last year I would've picked Sivir or Morgana over Maokai, if this makes sense).

I've got over 200,000 points in Sivir as you can see with the screenshot and I would so so so love to have her Victorious Skin (I actually do and sent a screenshot in lol).

But has it been thought to let players choose their Victorious skin or will it be something Riot would consider in the future?

Anyways, what do you guys think? Like at the end of the season if you've earned Gold - Challenger, Riot should have every Victorious Skin available and you choose to have J4 or Morgana etc? Or the new Victorious Champion, if you'd like of course. I know plenty of Janna and Elise mains who didn't play League in those respective seasons.

If someone already has Victorious Morgana, they can get a special border around their skin (think project maybe) showing they were around in season 4 and got the skin at the time?

I really wish they pulled through, I understood why victorious skin were so special to be limited..

But lets be honest, who gives a shit if you're victorious janna, elise, etc the skin literally means nothing today. The skins came to a point where half of them aren't even the original account owners, and the other quarter never even play that specific champion in their life time. It feels really shitty to main a champion with a victorious skin that you can never have strictly because you didn't join sooner.

Basically, they lost value to begin with. A lot of victorious accounts are just gold smurfs profiting on ebay to begin with. Even the supply isn't that small. Riot could kill that market really easily too by making them available, even not as the originals with borders.

I seriously don't care if riot gave a chroma for Victorious Elise that is all rusty and looks awful, just the fact I possess the skin in any form would make me feel complete. I resonate with Victorious Elise so well, everything about it, but sadly that resonation is denied off of the fact I can't ever be behind the keyboard of it.

I got over it awhile ago, but it came to the point where I realized it really truely eats at me so badly that I can't have it, and every champ select practically taunts me since I have to be constantly reminded "this is locked forever, hf in your next game without it 1.6 mil main!"

Please consider returning Victorious Skins riot, not only does it benefit the company and stop account trading (slightly anyway), but as more players join this game, more people get hurt over the minority of seasons past through this skin line, and the issue only expands with every new addition. A loading screen border worked out fine for champ riven, Owners of a Victorious Skin would work out just as well. At this point the only people saying no to readding them this way are owners of the skins already who simply don't care about everybody else having them, they just want to brag more about how they don't play Morgana and show off the skin against their opposing Morgana main that just started.

Good Idea! I suffer from the opposite problem. The skins are always for champs that I don't play that I also have a good skin for. e.g Have Goalkeeper Maokai. Get Victorious. Have Snowstorm Sivir. Get Victorious I would so much rather be able to get Janna and Morgana since I am a support main and they are in my champ pool.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did something like they did for the original Championship Riven where they just add a little crown to the skin and a load screen border for those who had it originally. Personally, I think just allowing other people have your idea would just diminish the accomplishment of those who struggled to reach Gold for those skins.

Although technically you're still reaching the same requirement as those before, ranked population and meta has changed drastically over the years. A player in Bronze season 1 and 2 was probably about equal to Gold now since there were a vast amount of players who were unranked just due to their elo being too low. With such a small amount of players even having a rank tier it made getting a Victorious skin a massive accomplishment. Meanwhile now with all the ranked safety nets such as free wins for failing promos, people placing as high as Platinum fresh out of placements, and not dropping a tier for a few games after you promote, it's simply not as impressive now as it was back then. A player in Season 8 for example choosing to get Victorious J4 would not be the same at all as a player who worked for that 7 years before him.

I would LOOOOOOOOOOOVE this. Victorious Janna came out right before I started playing, and I wasn't able to get her, and I was so sad. That's honestly the only one of the skins that I really want, I mean, I would consider selling a small, unnecessary organ or two! ....didnt say they would be mine.... But I often thought that when a person became eligible for the rewards, they might one day be able to choose one of the prior victorious skins.

Hopefully, for those that actually play rank flex and got gold or higher on both solo queue and flex queue, can get 2 victorious skins, with the second skin being the players choice. Those that think rank flex is not actually rank, go back and read the info since the beginning of the season and see how much time you wasted not playing. I got both ladders in gold.

But really, outside of the achievement itself each skin symbolizes ones participation in that particular season and as such this would be a huge slap in the face to older players.

I was just about to suggest that!! Good thing i googled it before to see if anyone was thinking the same thing. I would love to trade any victorious skin that i have with the morgana one!! I also started playing at the end of season 5 so i can't really do anything. But as you are with sivir, i am with morgana, having 300k+ points on her. And it breaks my heart to know that i'll never be abke to have it just because I've been late in finding out about the game. Big thumbs up fam!!!! Let's make this suggestion reality!!!

No thank you. I missed out on j4 by being new and ignorant. I missed out on Janna because real life ganked me. (I'll likely miss out on this season too since history repeats Itself.) I do not feel riot should return these skins to be available under any circumstances.

Riot has already whored out so many exclusive skins and tries justifying it with gimmicky boarders that took little effort to produce. We need to keep at least one set of skins sacred and that should be ranked's victorious.

How would adding a border add value? If it's exclusive now, then becomes exclusive later, an exclusive border would only lessen the depreciation in value, it would still be a depreciation of value based on loss of exclusivity, that's basic supply and demand.

Furthermore, it may not have taken much effort for you now or even in previous seasons, but for others that might not have been the case, and as such each skin is a symbolic congratulations from riot to the player for THAT season that they put effort into.

Finally, you mention the only difference between you and those players is date, as if to claim that isn't a valid metric to discriminate by, by that same logic I suppose you want to hand out my king rammus and ufo corki skins to every player?
