New champ

According to Surrender @ 20 and several other League news sites, sound files for a new champion select quote titled "Ekko" were leaked in yesterday's PBE patch (or maybe it was the day before). There is absolutely nothing else confirmed about him/her/it, and don't waste your time looking for any other information yet, because the only other "leaked" information over on Redit was confirmed as a prank, and not authentic or reliable information. The current PBE cycle will end on monday (because it is a 2 week cycle), and IF there is a new champ going to PBE next patch, it will likely be teased either over the weekend or on monday before being released sometime after tuesday. All that said, it is still completely unconfirmed that "Ekko" will be coming out next patch (Sona's ultimate skin got files leaked for several patches before she actually showed up for instance), and it isn't even guaranteed that he/she/it will actually be the next champion released at all (it could be a different champ entirely and this one may be weeks or months out still).

Basically, yes they are working on several champs most of the time, and one got leaked, but there is no hard information confirming that anything will be coming anytime soon.

Yes. The champion is indeed a male though. His champion select quote is clearly a male voice. There are lots of rumors going around, but who knows how true they are. Most say he's a mid lane assassin. And quite a few say hes a black male with white hair. So maybe Lucian won't have to be "token" anymore! :) Haha.
