I loved how the she played the music the whole time but my teammates could not hear it and I do not know if it is on purpose or accidental

They haven't gotten all of her features working yet.
It's just too soft.

Bump this thread so Riot can fix it.
Your teammates have to opt into listening to DJ Sona's music by pulling up the scoreboard, and hitting the button next to Sona's icon.
