Champion Idea

NOTE: As I just recently thought of this idea, I haven't thought of a name, so i'll just call him Tom for now.

Preview: Essentially, this champion is meant to be an assassin with unique interactions tied to his ulti. He relies on his skills for damage.

Q: Shadow Chains - Tom binds an enemy to himself or focal point. This does a small amount of damage on cast. However, if the enemy moves a certain distance away from Tom or the focal point during the 3 or so seconds this ability is active, the bond breaks, stunning the enemy and dealing damage. SELF CAST: Tom can also cast this ability on himself, binding himself to a focal point. While bound, he has bonus movement speed, and can recast the ability to be pulled back to the focal point (basically a thresh lantern he can click from anywhere.). The duration on this ability is meant to be a bit longer than if cast on an enemy. Using the ability on a focal point will also push it to the destination of the wall.

W: Tom goes invisible for 4 seconds. During this time, he can teleport to a nearby focal point.

E: Psionic Wall: Tom fires a wall of psychic energy a short distance. Enemies hit are knocked back to the wall's destination, and are slowed. If this ability hits a focal point, its range before breaking is increased, the slow is doubled in duration, and the wall's size increases. This ability can proc the break from Shadow Chains.

R: Tom can place down focal points which interact with his ability. He gains charges periodically up to a maximum of 5, and the points last for about 3 minutes on the map, and gives a small amount of vision.

Passive: Tom gains extra movement speed whenever he walks within melee range of his focal points. The speed decays over a few seconds, and Tom cannot gain the speed buff from the focal point for another 10 seconds or until he casts an ability on it.

NOTE: All of his abilities deal AP damage. I did not add scalings or cooldowns as I honestly do not know what would be best for him without being overpowered. Also, sorry if this post does not seem very informative. This is my first champion idea submission, and I came up with the idea rather recently.

  1. He has two stuns in his kit, neither of which is his ult. No bueno.
  2. Honestly, instead of him having a unique item he starts with, I would seriously just make him interact with wards this way. It would require a change to his ult though.
  3. Throw - really, a more powerful version of Syndra's ability?
  4. No, his ult should not be on a 50-60 second cooldown. 90 minimum, but even TF's defining ult is on a 120 second cooldown at max rank. Assassins already regularly roam, and having an ult like that gives them more mobility than they really should have, plus all of its other benefits.

Other invisibility ults: Rengar, 70 seconds. Talon, 55 seconds. Kha'zix (actually uncertain). Nocturne (kinda, but fitting in theme) 100 at max rank.

Other teleport/mass range closer ults: Nocturne 100. Panth 120. TF 120. Can anyone verify Rek'sai's CD for me?

As you can see, invisibility I could totally see at 50-60, since it doesn't really ahve any other interaction with his abilities (unlike the other invis champs). HOWEVER map mobility is a HUGE deal, because map mobility means split pushing, it means turning around ganks, it means global pressure, it means contesting objectives. It should never be on a very short cooldown.
